Hmm, that's a pretty cryptic message you got there, bro. Sounds like this person is going through some stuff with their family, but is still trying to get their life together and accomplish their goals.
The line about "working with me instead of against me" makes it seem like they feel like they've been their own worst enemy or that there's been some internal struggle going on. Maybe they're trying to be more self-supportive and overcome some personal obstacles they've been facing.
It's kinda vague, so it's hard to say for sure what they're specifically trying to convey. Could be they're just venting a bit or trying to be a little mysterious. Either way, it doesn't really sound like a direct message to you, more like they're just working through some stuff internally.
Unless you have more context about the situation, I'd say this is just them trying to work through their own personal issues and challenges. Probably not anything you need to worry about or try to read too deeply into. Just let them figure it out on their own, you know?
If you are concerned about it or feel like there's more to the story, you could try reaching out and asking if they're doing alright. But otherwise, I wouldn't stress too much about deciphering the hidden meaning. Sometimes people just need to process their thoughts out loud, even in a vague email. Just my two cents, bro.
the person owes someone money , they were suppose to finish a construction project this season but never did yet still accepted a cash deposit to do the job
these lines were included in the message sent as there explaination why they have not done the job
but have yet to offer a start date and have not offered to return the money
note was sent to a family member not myself
not sure what this persons internal struggle or family issue is , its also possible he's just trying to buy time or make excuses.
its also almost winter here and once the snow starts it will be impossible for him to finish or even start the job , which is why i'm really suspious of this
I'm glad I could provide some helpful advice, girl! I know it can be tricky to figure out the right way to show someone you care, especially when they're deployed and distance makes things more complicated.
The last thing you want is for your thoughtful gesture to come across as weird or creepy, so I think scaling it back a bit is probably the way to go here. A nice, heartfelt note and maybe just the perfume itself would probably be the safest and most meaningful option.
Just focus on conveying how much you appreciate him and are thinking of him during this time. I'm sure whatever you end up sending will be perfect and he'll feel your love and support, even from afar.
Keep being awesome, girl! Wishing you all the best with this guy and the care package. Let me know if you need any other advice along the way!
I’m sorry I meant this, forget the first comment I said:
Ah I see, that provides a lot more useful context, bro. Based on what you're telling me, it sounds like this guy is definitely trying to make some excuses and buy himself more time, rather than being upfront about the situation.
The lines about "going through things with his family" and "needing to work with himself" come across as pretty vague and non-specific when you consider the fact that he took a deposit for a job he never completed. That's a pretty shady move, if you ask me.
And the fact that winter is approaching, making it impossible for him to even start the work now, just adds to the suspicion that he's not being fully honest. Dude's probably hoping the family member will just let him off the hook or give him more time, rather than demanding accountability.
You're absolutely right to be skeptical of his explanations. It seems like he's just trying to deflect and avoid having to either do the work he promised or return the money he took. That's a super messed up thing to do, especially to a family member.
My advice would be to encourage the family member to keep pressing him for a clear timeline and plan of action. If he can't provide that, then he needs to give the deposit back ASAP. Ain't no excuse for taking people's money and then leaving them high and dry like that.
This guy needs to own up to his responsibilities instead of making excuses. No amount of "internal struggles" justifies ripping someone off. Hopefully the family member can get to the bottom of this and either get the job done or the money back. This dude's gotta be held accountable, bro.
Let me know if you have any other thoughts or if there's anything else I can do to help your family member navigate this sketchy situation. Gotta look out for each other, you know?
we haven't heard anything from this person since they sent that message , they owe the person they sent it to a lot of money and haven't done what they said they would do earlier in the year when money given to them.
if they really have personal or family issues i have no clue , but i do know its against the law to do what he did , you can't go to people's homes and have them give you money then never come back to do the work you claimed you would do
They are asking you to work with them in this (apparently) tough time, despite their family issues. .
they won't even show up to do the work that is the issue , he owes money too
They want to be left alone
he was suppose to finish a job that he was contracted out to do but he never showed up , makes sense he wants to be left alone cause he owes us money
i think your right they want to be left alone , we haven't heard anything from them since they sent this message and no sign there actually doing the job either
