Do any of you have to deal with someone hard of hearing on a regular basis? Doesn't it get irritating?

Not only irritating but it's exhausting having to constantly yell and repeat yourself. I just tell my mom to "shut TF and don't even talk to me! I'm tired of having to repeat myself". Can any of you relate to this?

We are constantly fighting because I can stand right in front of him and with a loud voice I think that he heard me. But NOOOOOO!
Plus when I ask him something he doesn't respond, he just sits there. Then I have to ask if he heard me! Then he'll say yes I heard you. Then I say would you please say ok or something so I know you heard me?

Or he hears something different than what I said. Then he starts yelling at me at the top of his lungs and doesn't stop!!

He could get free hearing aids from the Veterans Hospital but NOOOOOO! He won't do that!!

He knows I have high blood pressure yet he yelles at me and my blood pressure goes up. He's going to give me a stroke instead of getting fricken hearing aids!!!🤬

Same as my mom! She actually has hearing aids but doesn't like wearing them. My dad rarely talks to her he's so sick of it. When she calls me, I'll talk for a little bit then hang up. It's exhausting.

A few years back, my parents let my great uncle stay with us while he recovered from surgery and he was hard of hearing. It was VERY annoying! Especially, like you said, when he would wanna have a conversation. He would also blare the TV to the point I could hear it upstairs but the worst was when I would be downstairs, eating or doing homework or something, he would go on his phone and suddenly I would hear the most disgusting things lol I laugh now but at the time it was disturbing!

I worked for my uncle during the summer when I was in college and he was very hard of hearing. Yes, it is irritating! The bad thing is, he had hearing aids but refused to wear them!! My dad is also hard of hearing but it's only rarely annoying.
