How strong a bond do you have with your cousins?

And does it matter if they’re male or female, same sex or other sex than you? One of my male cousins is like the brother I never had. We can literally talk about anything. One of my female cousins (incidentally his sister) could easily qualify as my best friend. We kind of grew up with each other and used to spend the whole summer holidays together. One of the best pictures I have is holding her as a baby, I was four y/o at the time.

Contact with other cousins was much more infrequent and hence the relations more distant.

I'm not close with any cousins. All my male cousins were over ten years older and I was never close with two female cousins near my age. Most of them I haven't seen in 40+ years and wouldn't recognize them. All of my aunt's and uncles have passed. My parents are the last of their generation. I'm very thankful that they're still around.

i don't have any bond to my outside family. i barely know them. and i barely know my cousins. i probably saw them only a few times when i was younger, no older than like 10 years old. so that answers your question

two of my closest cousins happen to be women... yes, we grew up together on the weekends, and we would get along great

basically... they knew how to be around me without being overwhelming... lmao

I don’t talk to most of them. I have 7 cousins and I only talk to 1 of them and rarely, as she’s really busy with work and her family. However, we get on really well. We give each other birthday and Christmas gifts, too.

Nope. My father's side wants me dead. When my grandfather died they didn't care. And they disowned me before I was born. They threw us in the street. So when one of my a$$hole cousins got leukemia and I died I told them to f**" off. They've been trying to kill me ever since. I carry knives on me just in case they try ever again.

It's pretty strong, though we live far apart. We keep in touch with regular emails. Recently, an older cousin died. I traveled to the funeral, stayed at my cousin's house, and was a pall bearer at the funeral.

Very. We have some out of town relatives in for the holiday. My aunt and uncle have two little girls that attach themselves to me.
