We chose a name sounding international back then, one that was common in our country as well as in other countries. Our intent was to deflect one potential source of harassment during her future school life. It did not prevent her to get bullied during mid-school, specifically slut-shaming, amplified by social media, for this generation.

My cousin died from an asthma attack while playing football but he also had an underlying heart condition that was never diagnosed that made him go into cardiac arrest from his asthma. He was only 20. As was your case, my entire family was shocked when we heard.
