A few I can think of...

My closest friend is someone from elementary, who I've known for about 20 years now.

My former neighbor I've been friends with for little under 17 years. He actually got married today and I was his witness :')

And another neighbor, whom I've known since birth - I still catch up with every once in a while. We're not as close, though.

All other people I'd consider close friends, I've known for about 10-12 years. (:

What can I say...

The feedback I've received over the years is that my first impression often makes people feel less odd and more intelligent. I think it's an ego boost, they seem to stick around for that reason 😂

I moved a lot as a kid, so got used to leaving people and things behind. But I am still close to one friend I have known since birth and our moms were friends in elementary school. We even have the same first name. Except I am two years older, so she is “baby Caroline”.

Actually, it was only rough in 7th grade. Other than that I liked being new places. Still do.

Yes. I'm in contact with a few, but we are no longer super close friends. It's fun to reconnect from time to time, though.

I used to be, but most of my childhood friends are now married, they have kids, while I'm still single :(

No, I moved from the city I grew up in when I was 16, so we just slowly grew apart after staying in touch for a period of time. I did remain friends with high school friends after graduating but have lost contact with them after I moved out of state a couple years ago.

I should clarify, we went to school together k-12 and kind of drifted apart in high school but always remained friends.
