This little kid (M7/8) when I was in college trying to make a little pocket money tutoring and babysitting. The kid was a REAL sweetie and got very up in the grill of my bff (M19/20) who walked me to the kid's place after school one afternoon. We did our lessons as usual and when we went to clean up his room the kid started asking about my bff in a very sweet way, asking if this guy was serious and going to marry me.

I smiled and said no, we aren't dating people, we're just friends. The kid was smart and said we didn't look like friends. The guy looks at me like his dad looks at his mom. I laughed and said not to think about it too much and to focus on cleaning up.

Later the next day I came on my own and the kid looked around, asking where's the guy. I said he's probably home... why? The kid shook his head and said, "That guy is stupid. If he doesn't marry you, I want to marry you, ok? I just need to be older."

His mom and I grinned. I do hope he's happily married with a big family now. It's what he wanted. He talked about it a LOT. Always very curious about marriage and relationships to learn more about what makes one work. I hope he's still as serious and optimistic as he was back then. <3

No, the mom was a medic and moved every few years. It was pre-internet so I didn't have their emails or anything. He did make me a lovely origami whale for Valentine's Day once. It was super sweet. He'd be 40/41 now. Probably has five kids and a cutie little wife.
