Mom doesn’t make her son do chores?

I’m a 22 year old female and ever Since I was 9 years, I’ve been treated like a slave. I was forced to clean everything and do chores. My father died when I was 5. My mother married a different man and has 3 kids with him. Her other kids aren’t forced to do chores. She has 2 boys and a little girl. One of the boy is 15 right now and he doesn’t do anything in the house. She doesn’t make him do anything because she said he’s a boy and boys aren’t supposed to chores and that her son will marry one day and his wife will take care of him. My mother scorn me and makes me to do everything in the house and her 15 year old son just relax in his room all day and she believes only I should do chores. Is this how other people live too? Do you make only your girl child do chores and your other kids just do nothing because they’re boys?

Nope sounds like quite the sexist family, everyone lives in the house so cooperating to keep it going should be everyone participating, you sound like the real life Cinderella, that's wild
