Why would she let her child do chores for money if she’s rich?

I know a local business owner, who makes probably at least $20,000 a month, and yet she says she lets her 11-year-old daughter do chores (take out the garbage, fold laundry, etc.) for $5-15. Her 20-year-old son also works part time at a jet ski rental in the summer. If I was making as much money as her a month, no way would I let my kids do chores for allowance money or have them earn their own money at a young age.

She's teaching her kids responsibility. If you coddle and spoil a child, they will not be ready to take on financial responsibility as an adult. You have to have discipline and understanding that nothing in life is free. I'm sure their mom didn't just get up one day and start making $20k a month. She worked her way up to earn that type of paycheck and she's teaching her kids the same thing. You have to work at what you want to achieve.

Good for Mom and Dad. There’s is nothing worse than entitled and over indulged kids. The parents have to work and the kids should too. The kids are lucky part of their work wages do not have to be put back into the household.

It's called teaching good work ethic. If you are rich and you don't teach your kids to work, then your kids will be poor. It's pretty fucking simple.

Kids also learn about taxes when they have a job, they have to learn about bank accounts, they have to learn to manage their money, how to save and how to invest. It helps to financially educate them so that they grow up to be responsible successful adults.

If they hate doing low wage menial work, then it encourages them to do well in school so that they can get into college to gain credentials for higher paying jobs. It may also drive an interest in entrepreneurship if they learn they don’t like taking orders from retards. Thus they might learn how to set up a corporation, get a business licensee, sales tax id, etc. So many things are learned from being ambitious when you are young. It is important to teach kids about capitalism so that they aren’t losers.

If you don't challenge children they get spoiled. Just leaving a child to live is spoiling them. Better to force them into something productive.
