What would you do if you're smart and wealthy, but your only child only knows how to waste money?

A woman in a Vietnamese city owns multiple car dealerships. She's the richest woman in her city -- she makes $30,000 USD a month. Month. That's US money, not Vietnamese money. Some people in America or Europe don't make anywhere near that much a month. She's smart, successful and wealthy. And her only son is the complete opposite. She sends him $40,000 every 3 months only for him to gamble it all away, hang out with bad friends who ask for money, drink, smoke, party, etc. He doesn't work and she bought 2 houses for him in America. And he sold one to pay for his gambling. Not only that, he's 42. He's stupid, not some young immature teen.

The truth of this matter is nothing will ever change until this guy hits bottom or is unable to meet his gambling obligations. The mother must not know about his habit and his asset sale. If she does then enabling him to continue is probably something she knows she should not be doing.

Again, it sounds like something that has to run its course. I would never get involved with a woman who exhibited this behavior...

Probably because rather than making him get off his ass to earn it, she’s just giving it to him. Something also tells me that she wasn’t really a mother to him, maybe too busy w her businesses. Something also tells me his dad wasn’t around either. Maybe I’m wrong but maybe she's trying to make up for all those things he went through growing up by giving him money.
