Healthy debates are good. Agreeing to disagree is good. The radicals on both sides, something like 50% of democripps and 40% of rebloodlicans who think the country would be better off if the other side was killed or put in prison, should be killed or put in prison. Ell oh ell!
I had an article saved on an old phone that referenced and linked a fairly wide reaching poll that showed those numbers. I haven’t been able to find it again though. Bill Maher talked about it on his show at least once. I really thought people couldn’t surprise me anymore until i read that.
The majority of voters in the US are registered with one party or the other. So nearly 90% of this country ACTUALLY wants to murder and/or incarcerate half of the country. Let that sink in and then TRY to sell us on the benefits of the two-party disaster we refuse to do away with.

It used to be fine but then billionaires found out people think less about taking their time back if they are too mad at each other to think. And so they propped up extremism on both sides to keep people infuriating and infuriated. Granted, they favor the right but thats because the left already has popular polices so they don't need much propping up. Especially since some of those policies are actually in the opposite direction billionaires would like things to go- so propping them upmto create division is too risky without doing it through the more lunatic elements that will behave as a caricature of the left, thus exhausting people with the reasonable things the left stands for.

It's extremely difficult to have a civil political conversation in America anymore. I'm very much in the middle, and far too many people are so extreme in their views and have so little tolerance for anything they don't agree with that rational discussion is simply not possible.
