My father inspired me to "Never Give Up" in life. He was my real-life Superman. God rest his Soul.

Several different people. Mostly family, a couple professors and a couple youtubers. Specifically my sister inspired me to be more independent by sucessfully moving out on her own at 18, a teacher inspired me to be more assertive by directly challenging my debate habits, and a youtuber inspired me to be more confident by acting confident explicitly to compensate for feeling unconfident.

Several. Doubt I could name them all.
My brother and grandfather: when I was about 10 or 12, I couldn't help notice how they complained about EVERYTHING under the Sun! I noticed myself starting to do it, one day and realized they were like that so, I decided then & there NOT to become like them!!
Mom: for teaching me not to be an asshole to other people and be kind and helpful. Also because I caught her in SO MANY lies over the decades I decided I DON'T want to be like that!! I have enough trouble trying to remember all the thousands of records I have in my collection! I'm not ABOUT to try to remember every lie I told and who I told it to!! I'd MUCH RATHER just tell the truth!!
Dad: for at least teaching SOME ways to fix things and the use of common sense.
Jed Clampett: I admired him for his honesty! I can't recall which episode it was but, there was one where Jethro was doing something with something that, for all they knew, didn't belong to them and what Jed told him was VERY inspiring to me to be as honest as possible!! I'm pretty sure this ain't it but, the only one I can think of is when Mr. Drysdale bought then a sporty new car and left it in their driveway in front of the house. Jed & Jethro stepped out front and saw it and Jethro jumped right in and was about to take it for a drive when Jed told him, "Jethro, get out of there! Like as not, that belongs to someone else!"
Mr. Frank Gallo: my neighbor across the street. He was kind of a surrogate grandfather and was ALWAYS very jovial and helpful! Every Christmas, he'd dress up like Santa Claus and go to houses where kids lived and give us the thrill of our lives by having Santa come visit us in person! I'd do the same but, who ever heard of a 6' 9" tall elf?
One day, his son, Bruce, was playing with a ball in the house and accidentally smashed a glass table top. His mother, Rita, went ballistic on his screaming and shouting at him!! When Frank walked into the house and heard the commotion, he just chuckled and said, "It's okay, Rit, we can just buy another one."
Bill Bruford, Terry Chambers, Adam Woods, Ringo Starr, Keith Moon, Carl Palmer, Ginger Baker, Clive Bunker, Doan Perry, Nick Mason, and probably a few other drummers: for being such creative drummers and inspiring the hell out of me to play the way I do.
Jennifer Marcin, my surrogate little sister: for being such a huge musical inspiration to me, my muse, so to speak, and for being such a wonderful, cheerful person to be around!! It rubbed off on me, at least a little bit.
Mike Robbins one of my college professors: for teaching me new ways to look at and understand things, especially in t. v. production, sound recording, psychology and writing.
My ex-fiance, Anu: for sort of amplifying the way I already was and helping me be even better at some of those aspects I mentioned above.
My grandmother: for sticking up for me when I needed it during many of the times dad was having one of his tantrums about me.
My 2nd girlfriend, Carol: for introducing me to so much more music than I ever would've heard without her or her boyfriend (my guitarist).
My band: for numerous reasons.
My last girlfriend, JLB: for sort of toughening me up a bit more and for causing me to take at least somewhat more responsibility. I DO love and care about you!!

I'm not sure I've been inspired, but I couldn't have achieved what I have without my parents help !

My father, a five-seven,155-pound boxer/lumberjack who worked many jobs to support my mother, sisters and me and was completely comfortable in his masculinity, which was tough yet gentle and loving. (He passed away Feb.26,1990 at age 76).
