So I like to buy masks from indie artists. Jason masks from Friday the 13th to be specific. I have the same jason mask from two different artists. Just out of curiosity, I posted a photo of both of them in a Friday the 13th group asking what one looked better, or more screen accurate. Someone commented their favorite, and he tagged the artists name. The artist probably got the notification and saw my post. I feel like the artist may have found it insulting. I feel bad, and embarrassed. Should i?

As an artist, you are bound to displease the one or the other person. You can never satisfy everybody. I don't like modern art or don't appreciate a number of painters, musicians or architects. I may voice my dissatisfaction or make comments that may displease them. If you cannot take criticism, then you don't do something that is bound to be criticized.
Unless your criticism was really demeaning or insulting by the way you formulated it, then the artist should not feel insulted and if he/she does, then it would probably better for him/her to take up a different occupation where he/she is not likely be criticized by others.
why would the artist find it insulting?
