Is it weird to also view another woman as a mother figure while my actual mother is still alive?

Not that I think of her as taking my mom's place, it's just that she was around when I was growing up and would help me when my mom wasn't able to at the time. She was one of the neighbors, but I also think of her as a mother figure.

No not at all. I think it's actually very sweet that you think of her as a second mom. She took care of you when your mom couldn't.

It's not weird at all, and it's a fairly common for people to find mother figures outside their biological mother.
