Girls, Girls what's it like growing up with a brother?

So I grow up with a little sister. And while I wouldn't change it I've always thought it would be cool to have a brother is the grass greener on the other side?

I am the middle child with an older brother (2 years) and a younger sister (2 years).

Growing up, my brother would always ensure to let us girls know that he was the boy and the leader of the kids, which would lead to some tension.

I would be the one of his physical mobbing when he would punch my upper arm and leave bruises on them. My little sister would be more the victim of verbal mobbing.

One day, I was perhaps 13 years old, my brother would pick at my sister while having dinner. I just could not stand it anymore and I leaned over the table and gave him such a whack in the face that he was taken aback and did not say anything. My parents were just as surprised as he was.

From that day on, my brother did not speak to me for 2 full years. Not a single word, not a "hello", not a "happy birthday", nothing.

I paid dearly for defending my sister but since that day, he did not mob either one of us girls.

Since then, things have changed, we all grew up and I love my brother dearly and would give my life for him or my sister.

I have three older brothers and consider them my best friends. There is a big age difference (I was an oops baby) between my two oldest brothers and myself, so growing up, it was almost a father and daughter relationship. There's a two year difference between my youngest brother and me, so he was more of a brother. I was spoiled, without a doubt!

I have a younger brother and a younger sister. Both of us girls were mean to him we teased him relentlessly. It's not something I'm proud of today. Today him and I have a good relationship with each other. He's 14 him and my sister do fight sometimes she's 12. We would dress him up as a girl and he was so humiliated us girls thought it was funny! I've told him how sorry I was for humiliating him like that. Poor kid 😢
