What is it really like to have a sibling?

I grew up with my sister who was 18 months older than me.

We never got along until the day she died.

We didn't look alike, we didn't act alike, and it did make me pause and wonder if one of us was really adopted?

I only have one sibling, a sister who is three years younger.
We always got along great, aside from the usual squabbling that kids do.
We used to play game together.
Once she was old enough, I would take her to rock concerts. We would roller skate around town together.
As adults, we did lots of things together.
Now that our parents are gone, we are the only family we have left. We are totally loyal to each other and have helped each other out.
For the past 26 years, we have lived about 400 miles away, but have visited each other quite a few times. We text and send a lot of photos back and forth. And we talk on the phone every few weeks. When we do, we usually talk for hours.

I don't know what it's like and I wish I did know I didn't have a sibling growing up. Although I asked my parents to get someone and they didn't. I'm not sure why they didn't want another child, but it's far too late for that. I know I would have enjoyed it.

Sure, we spent a lot of time together playing games and sports, but we also spent a lot of time fighting both verbally and physically at times. I am the oldest child and would have to watch them at times, especially as I hit my teens and of course they would never listen. Stubborn bastards lmao

Well I have 6 of them, but only 1 is from both parents. We usually battled as kids with her being 2 years older mostly won. Well until I was 14 and kicked her right in the face. We're kool now and have been for the last 20 plus years. Fuckin bitch lives on riverside property, huge house, owns a Mustang, all weather hot tub, pontoon, 4 wheeler, and all kinds of other shit. Millionaire. My results probably differ from others..

Siblings can be a better or worse version of ourselves but ultimately it's great to have them. If anything they make you laugh when nobody else can.
