My favorites are Cats, Lizards, Snakes, Birds, Tarantulas, and Scorpions.
Dogs are too high maintenance, and along with rodents and rabbits, tend to damage household property often unfortunately. Weasels are cute but the musk smell is off-putting.

I also like Sugar Gliders, Possums, Red Pandas, and Raccoons too.
Fish are also too high maintenance, and Turtles have and odor.
Frogs and salamanders are cool too, but quite hard to keep alive.

There has been a cat in my family for as long as I can remember, so I'm a cat person. An added bonus with cats is I never saw a rat or mouse outside.

Since leaving my parents and having my own home I have had my own cat, but at present I don't because of work commitments, though I have been working in the past voluntarily for a cat charity, and I had regular contact with the cats.

Amazingly there has not been any cats in my neighbourhood for a while now, my neighbours seem to be dog lovers, that's fine with me, I like dogs too, providing they bite me, or chase me when I'm on my cycle. But unfortunately the dogs don't eradicate the rats and mice, and the neighbourhood has now a problem with these rodents.

I like cats the most, but I have had dogs, lizards, frogs, a turtle, a rat, and a mouse :D

as a kid, I was nursing frog eggs until they developed to frogs :D
