Had him in high school. Then everyone I’ve ever met has just loved me right away. It’s like they sense the energy of my love for my old dog.
When I joined the army my mom took him for a walk. As they passed the town mayor’s house he saw the mayor’s cat lounging in the sun in the front yard…he burst out of her control and killed the cat right there in front of everyone. She was mortified and embarrassed. She gave him to a family in the country.
He ran away and was never seen again.
RIP, Laddie…😩😩😩
English springer spaniels are my favorite breed. I mean real ones, not what Americans have turned them into here in the US.
This is what Americanized springers look like:

This is what a real springer looks like:
Like many breeds, springers are working dogs. They were bred with a purpose in mind, to hunt. They are athletes with amazing instincts and personalities. Americanized springers are what happens when people start breeding a dog for show rather than their original purpose. Have you ever seen the movie Best In Show, or seen an actual dog show where dogs are judged on their looks? That's the root cause. Show people focus more on the looks of a dog than on their personality, instincts or health. Once that happens, it doesn't take long before it becomes a completely different breed of dog, and it's always to the detriment of the breed as a whole. There are a lot of health problems in Americanized springers that have never existed in the original breed, and thankfully they don't exist in real springers today. Rage syndrome is an example of that. If you are not familiar, Giigles it. It's not pretty.
This is a bad thing for any breed.
What Americans have done to cocker spaniels is even worse (I'm American by the way). This is what an Americanized cocker spaniel looks like.

OK, I'm done ranting about the evils of dog shows. :) Thanks for your great question. Hope you have a great weekend.
Thank you so much for MHO.

as a dog i like german/belgian shepherds and kangals most along with maybe caucasian shepherds and huskies/malamutes. in fact i already own a male german shepherd since age 13.
but if i could choose any animal as a pet with resources to make them live good i would choose lions and cheetahs (not because i'm an active feline person if i was i wouldn't have a dog) since they are the only social big cats (i know cheetah doesn't count as a big cat but being 10 times a normal cat i would consider it big)
also a black horse and an eagle or raven would be cool too maybe even a ram.
Black mouth cur!! I like dogs with short fur and low ears and these curs have a nice sad face

https://www.youtube.com/embed/tAW8415AR10I had one. This was when I was 13
Forgot to say that's the only pic of him i have
Not sure. I think breed has nothing to do with friendliness. Mine was definitely friendly only to people he knows tho like any other dogs.
I never trained it. It's living outdoors most of the time like other dogs here. I don't live in a cozy suburban area. Our houses are fenced but doors are open. Pretty much a common thing in 3rd world countries.
Pretty much look like this if youd go out of your house.
There really are dogs staying in the streets sometimes and they're often tamed. And they're so used to seeing lots of people and cars that they don't just bark anymore. And they can be good at crossing the road too.
That kind of dog is quite common here. assets.change.org/.../...ogZUYr-1600x900-noPad.jpg
They tend to look like this. Those kind of dogs aren't like those posh dogs that are living in houses that has a high risk of getting sick. They do live long and happy. The problem is dogs here aren't neutered but that is how i got mine. I asked my neighbor for it and was for free. Sometimes there are just street dogs without any owners and I don't know if where they'd end up. It sounds quite sad but that's not really a news for us anymore. People here are literally broke and of course our gov are too corrupt to do anything about it.
(the picture, there's one goat in the middle)
No I'm in Philippines.
Forgot to say, those tamed dogs living in the at the streets, they do act like people. They're like chill that just stands or sit at the side then hang out with other dogs happily.
I don't think that's only in our country but those warm 3rd world countries in general have dogs like those. Cold countries have the kind of climate that insures they all stay in or they'd freeze on the streets which is why.
It's fine.
Actually, somewhere in between. I living a quite developed house with more convenience and air condition rooms so I am doing fine but the country itself is just inconvenient. Like you lack options especially when it comes to filing up for something for the government and the healthcare system. There are just so few of them that people have to line up to get a check up or have yourself registered for something. Even the transportation are so limited. You see the terminals full every time that's why people have to wake up extra early to work. Other than that, I hate the traffic, slow internet and the weather. One day you get a really hot sunny day then the next day it rains non stop then it goes to sunny day again. The upside is the cost of living here is cheaper also because the salary here is quite low. But if you work online or do some freelancing online and earn dollars or other currency, the exchange is quite big.
The government would also deliberately give people a hard time like requiring of you a lot of requirements just for something so that they will charge you multiple times. One time I registered as a tax payer for my business, it was fairly easy because of course they are after the taxes but when it was time I closed it because of the pandemic and a typhoon, they are really given everyone a hard time closing in their business and giving them penalty for not filing taxes late even though there was a lockdown. The line was so long and I really had to injure it. And when you get to the counter, they don't even treat the people really well. I got penalized too but luckily for me I got supports because I'm lucky to be living with a fortunate family and had my business legally closed and to get a really cheap looking closure certificate. This is why I hate being taxes here. Not in general but just here. All of those taxes and those "penalties" just belongs to their pockets. They don't use it to give people convenience. That's what I'm talking about when I talked about corruption.
Also imagine being required a college degree just to work in a food stall in a mall. That happened one time it became a meme here. Another problem here is that the government don't educate the people properly so that they can take advantage of them.
I like them all, but I definitely have a special place for those, same as my Luna dog was... (=

I loved it when my Luna had almost a dozen puppies, lmfao... would even sleep on the floor at nights, with all of them
The Havawart is my favorite breed. It's a rare German breed. My dog looked just like this. He was the best dog I ever had. Unfortunately, 3 years ago I had to put him down because he had severe dementia and started getting vicious. He was 16 years old
He was a beautiful dog. Thank you. It broke my heart to do it
I have so many breeds that I love and would one day love to have. I also have realistic understandings that I cannot own a maligator I am not nearly active enough for one.
But I love GSDs, Dalmatians, Malinois, and Great Danes. Right now I share my house with a mutt and a GSD. I think my next dog will be a border terrier unless I somehow come into money and can afford my own home and then I’ll go back to large and XL breeds since small and medium sized dogs aren’t really my speed. I don’t like most little dogs but have settled on a BT primarily because their grooming needs are minimal and they look like they’re hardy enough to handle hiking
Damn 🥲 I can't choose! But if I'd go for a pet it'll probably be a beagle, dobermann (with their natural ears & tail) or also a golden retriever 😊
@7Phoenix7
That’s animal cruelty
Im more of a cat person as an adult. Bi5 growing up we had a couple of Dobermans and they're awesome dogs. 10/10.
Lately I've also been fascinated by the influx of Borzoi content I've been seeing. They're hilarious.
Another one of the coolest dogs I've met was a Burmese Mountain Dog.
My two are ''Bangkeow'' (a Thai breed, related to the 'Spitz')

Goldens 🥺
I have my boy tatted on me. I lost him while I was away from home and never got to say bye to him, such a sweet loving animal. Came back home to holding a box filled with his ashes
It depends. For an indoor dog, a Bichon Maltese is excellent. For an outdoor dog, a German Shepherd is priceless.
Having said that, I like all dogs. It's some of the owners, who abuse their dogs, that I don't like.
Huskies or German Shepards.. One is beautiful.. And the other is a man's Dog.. The true best friend.. 💪🏽..
Hahaha.. Me too.. I love cats.. Damn cute, slightly evil, but actually affectionate creatures..
🤔🤔.. Is it because you can relate? JK.. 😂

Great Dane. Doberman. Basset hound.
But I don’t like misbehaved/poorly trained dogs moreso than anything.
These little bastards
Belgian Malinois
I trained one once and I would love to train one again
Golden labbie's pit bulls and rottweilers are my favorite. But I have a pomeranian now and I love him soooooo much
Mixed dogs. There are like a hound but several breeds they’re a lot more fun🐶
Mixed from the local shelter.
When I was a kid i had a Golden Retriever and he was an awesome dog. I will go with that.
