76 and up: Old Age
I know for many the age stages are different but this is how I view the stages.
When I was 12. 18 was old. At 21 25 seemed old. At 30 44 seemed ancient. Now that I am over 40 80 seems old. The rule is when you run out of people to call old... Then officially you are old. Until then it's a moving target.
That's funny. I'm 33 and I don't think old is until well pass 75. Near 80 really.
Thats because you view human lifespan as static, so you expect a person to look or feel a certain way at a certain age. I look the same now as I did at 14, and I'm almost 40. So 50 isn't going to be middle aged for me, as I'm likely going to live for far more than 100 years since I've managed to not age for almost half of that timeframe.
Aging, in the sense of becoming decrepid, is disease. It has nothing to do with how old you are, so your chart is meaningless.
Human lifespans have no cap on how long they can be. A healthy person will be like a young adult even at 100, 150, or 200, etc.
You have to view aging like a health bar in a video game that has permadeath. You can refill the bar as many times as you want, carrying on for as long as you want, but not if you're already dead or mutilated.
that was meant for @Simslover92
@TheSpaceGnome didn't think about it like that but you're right.
It's all relative in my opinion. A 5 year old can think someone that is 10 is old.
That's so true.

@Simslover92 When they look, feel, and act, "old"... my neighbor in Ohio, that I grew up with, was in his 90's, and when I visited him last, he was in the yard with a leaf blower, clearing the yard. I asked him about his neighbors who were also about the same age...'Well"... he said..."they are probably sleeping on the couch"... They're "Elderly. you know"... and they were... physically, mentally, emotionally and they looked the part... George, however, did not... So there is an example of someone who is chronologically 'old' but much younger, otherwise.
That list is reasonable, but what's really in a label? What purpose does it fill?
Someone may be Old age (per you list) but not be old.
My father, for example, was very active until he died in his sleep at age 98. We never viewed him as being old.
I don't view my grandmother as old. She too is active and looks way younger than 75. But it's all relative. Lots of people will think she is old regardless of how healthy and vibrant she is.
I would say late 60’s is when aging usually takes place and makes people look old but everyone is different , some age faster than others and some stay younger looking than others’ I met a girl that looked like she was in her early 30’s to find out she was actually 65 year old , and I didn’t believe her whatsoever , I said you are no way 65 years old , she then showed me her drivers’ license and I was blown away that she was telling the truth
I would have to say just because we put a number with how many birthday cakes we had for me doesn't really mean anything to me
Old to me is when I die. I have friends that are 20 years younger than me and they are old they don't do anything they sit around and watch TV. And they tell me they feel old. Oh well lol
I would say 65 can definitely be considered "old". 60-65 is kinda debatable, but if you're younger than 60, you're really just not that old.
It's still middle age in my opinion. You don't even receive social security until 67.
1 second old.
1 billion years old.
You use the word old regard of how much time has passed.
Ancient is the correct word for existing a very long time, elder is the correct world for what you are using "old" for.
An elder is someone older than you by 1 generation of offspring.
So your parents are your elders, as well as their parents, and so on.
For relflection, the gariatric age (the age at which you become sick and feeble and wrinkly), is different depending on the person, their lifestyle, and what time they were born in.
A 20-30 year old would be the last geriatric year for most people 10,000 years ago. Today that age is 80-100, in the future it will continue to go up.
80 function really starts to deteriorate and a person needs at very least to be checked in on several times a day.
For some yes this is true but not all. My great aunt is 80 and doesn't need to be checked on at all.
Yes. But this was my answer to your Q and when I suggest keeping a closer eye. People slip quickly physically and mentally. May we all still have our faculties with us past 100.
Everyone has a different opinion on this one.
feel like once you hit your 60's you're starting to get old bc around that age you have something wrong with you lol
I've considered myself old since I was 30. Once I hit 40 I was really old. If I'm still alive when I hit 50, I hope to remedy it ASAP.
For others... I guess they're old if they're older than me.
Interestingly, enough age doesn’t make a person old. Some people are old the age of 30 summer old at the age of 90 some never grow old.
I’m close to your input, but I would put Old at ages above 80.
@Simslover92 Thank you for the Like
You're welcome
When they put a hat and a box of tissues on the back parcel shelf of their car
76 and up and I can say that!!
Ya know what's weird? Being the same age as old people.😂😂
It's more a state of mind and less about time they've been around
100 years old is old. people can still be young into their 90s. Jack LaLanne was going strong at 90.
When people start thinking old. I know people in their 20s who are old. I know people in their 60s that are young.
Honestly it's so perspective based I think as long as you eat well and exercise you'll be as young as you want to be for as long as you want
Retirement age says the middle aged dude...
Having a for the most part a long lived family I always felt 80’s plus was when ‘old’ began.
Age 70 qualifies as Old.80 qualifies as really old. Hope I make it.
old for what though...
Just considered at the old age stage. I believe it's 76 and up but others might think differently.
I think that... as long as my knees do hold... lmao
Lol right
I'm still playing sports... almost as if I were 20 again...
That's awesome! I doubt you'll start feeling old until maybe 80-90
I think we'll have bionic parts by then...
Here's to hoping that's true. The way our country is looking, I'm not so sure if we will.
that's why I don't worry much about age... lol
Lol I mean I try not to either but it's sort of different for females. We are constantly reminded about our age.
tell them to go eat a bagel...
Lol will do
I mean it...
" Darrel... why don't you go eat a bagel... "
Ok sure. I'll tell insert name to go eat a bagel when they do that
@NathanDavis Old enough to look at your thumb to compare it to something.
This means I'm young :)
Yep according to my age stages you are still a young adult.
That's true. You do.
I definitely feel young... :D
I'm a firm believer in your as old as you feel.
i'm 73 will let you know when I get to old age
when they can't get it up for me
When you get the walking farts.
76 is quite late for retirement.
When they are 15, 20 years older than I am
40 to me , I don't know
When you're 30s you may rethink that lol
Maybe 🤣
Thank goodness, I'm not "old" quite yet.
I base it off their mentality
You pretty much nailed it.
You're about right
80 and over
Retirement age or older.

You'll probably change your mind when you get there.
I will cause at 66 im gonna be in the thick of it
You won't feel old at 66. My mom is almost 60 and doesn't seem old at all.
I know i won't I eat right and workout im gonna be chilling
