As an elder sister do you bully or dominate your little brothers when you were a kid. Or is it just me, the bad big sister?

I bullied my younger brother everyday! I made him cry more than once. I once held him down and made him eat a worm. I had total control over him by pulling him by his shirt collar. It's not something I'm proud of today. I took my anger out on him.

Nothing to be ashamed of. I was badass bossy towards my younger brother. I am 34 now and he is 28. Still I am the dominant one and hopefully will continue to be like that. Elder siblings are like that especially elder sisters.

Thanks for superb answer. Is your brother scared of you? I could beat my brother up still if I wanted to. When I was 14 he was 10 if he didn't do what I wanted I would grab him by his shirt collar and drag him like he was a dog. His shirts were comically stretched out. I think he's still kinda scared of me. You think that's normal?

I didn't have to scare him. Actually I have been better than him in most of the things grades, socialising, sports. The more he noticed these the more he started competing only to lose again and again. Now he almost accepted that he may never catch up. Instead he is focusing on developing himself than defeating me. But on my part I admit at this age that I have been always uptight and subconsciouly dominated him without even realising be it in grabing the front seat in the car or suduing him in petty arguments. That lead to more hostility. Now we try working together amd its much better than when we were kids. But to answer ur question, Yes I am still the boss and he follows since he knows I have superior organising and leadership skills 😜😁. Earlier it was forced. Now its by his lack of choice.

But I must say grabbing shirt and all is little on the physical side. Instead dominate him mentally or emotionally. Thats a lot more satisfying and gives you more control over others. Try to be better than him in everything. He will automatically become humble and once he accepts you are superior you are the queen and he is your soldier. What I realised is if u allow too much freedom or let others walk over you they start taking u for granted. So not cruelly but surely maintain a certian level of pressure or dominance on him in order to keep him in line. Dont let loose completely ever.
