How are you supposed to deal with someone you've known your entire life just being gone?

Not that we have any other choice but to "deal with it"... but I don't know how any decent human being deals with this. I had plenty of problems as it was before this, and now I think about how my grandmother will never come over again, never be with us on a holiday again, I'll never get to talk to her again. Almost 21 months later, and it still makes me horribly sad every day. It wasn't fair what happened to her. Actual bad people have lived longer and still had their minds their entire lives. You realize someone won't be there forever, but I don't know where all the years went, and I hate what happened and I hate the way it makes me feel. I'll never "accept" it, regardless of what the stupidest stages of grief say. Not something I will ever find acceptable. This crappy world is full of people who mostly don't care at ALL about you. Then one isn't in it anymore and it gets even worse.
