Did your family have any unique behaviors or traditions growing up?

Such as a saying or expression that you've never heard anyone use outside your family, or a superstition about something that nobody else seems to think is bad?

If so, do you still practice it now and will pass it on to your own family, or did you stop when you realized it was not normal?

Okay, every Christmas Eve, my mom and my two youngest brother's, would go into my parents room and sing Christmas Carol's, so Santa would hear and come to our house! My oldest brother and dad would put the fire out in the fireplace and put milk and cookies out for him. Eventually, as we sang, we'd hear footsteps on our roof and bells ringing... then my dad would come and say Santa just left, we can open presents.

I thought that was normal for every family! 😂

It wasn't until years later that I found out, not only don't families sing Christmas Carol's to entice Santa to their house but most families open presents on Christmas morning!
