I'm staying at a friends (f18) for the weekend. She has a double bed and I'm wondering if she anticipates sharing her bed. Have you experienced that?

Let me clarify. I'm staying with a good friend on the weekend while my parents are away. I'm wondering if my friend is thinking we will share her queen size bed. I'm not lesbian or homophobic and neither is my friend. We hug sometimes when meet or get excited, we dance at parties, etc. I've never shared a bed and just wondering if the experience was okay.

A couple times, sort of. One night, my best friend was spending the night in a hotel and asked me to come over for a while. I ended up staying too late and had no bus ride home. She fell asleep not long after that and I WASN'T gonna spend the night on the floor and there was SOME room on the bed so, I got into bed next to her but was completely dressed except for maybe my shoes, in case she woke up and found me next to her in bed. If I'm completely dressed, she shouldn't figure that I fucked her while she was sleeping. She was dressed, too. I also hardly got any sleep at all that night because I was so scared she WOULD wake up and freak about me being in bed with her. But, she never did. Never said a word about it. She called a friend of hers for a ride back to her place. He came and picked her up. Later that night, she called me up and said that he tried to rape her! A few weeks later, she & I became lovers, anyway.

7 or 8 years later, one hot summer night, we played at a birthday party at a friend's place. He and 4 other people were living in this house and the band (Know Idea) across the street from them was letting us rehearse in their basement for a while. One of the people that lived in the party house was a close friend of mine and after we finished playing, she and I decided to go out front to cool off and just talk. After maybe an hour, she decided to go in and go to bed but, everyone that lived there thought she was already in bed so, they locked all the doors and she left her keys inside! So, she was locked out! She kept trying to yell up to them on the 3rd floor to let her in but, apparently, they were all sound asleep, by then. And, by that time, my last bus home (or even close to it) was long gone so, I was stuck there, too. So, we went across the alley to the Know Idea house and their bassist, Ted, was still awake but sitting on the arm of one of the 3 couches doing meditation. We went in and talked with him for a while and he offered us one of the couches to sleep on so, she and I both slept on the same couch but, we were both clothed and her feet were near my head and vice versa. The next morning, we went to a local eatery and had breakfast and then she went home and so did I.

I personally would not want to stay with another woman (or man) alone in the same bed. There are simply too many risks of something unwanted going on.

I did experience it before where someone told me to sleep in the same bed as they do but I politely rejected and took a taxi home rather than to take any risk for my health or safety.

You may be sure of yourself but you are never sure of friends or so-called friends.

I would suggest that you either take a taxi home or try to find a hotel where you can be safer.

It is just a bed. You should see how many people, both male and female, squeeze onto our king size when we have parties.
