Older GAG members, How many younger people (say ten years or more younger) do you call friends?

I've tried to make friends with a lot of younger people but most are scattered mentally and seldom return the friendship in a reliable manner. I consider most as a cold war friend, only contacting me when something is dire. People my own age check in on each other at least once or twice a week. It can be months before I get a "proof of life" text or call from my younger so called friends. It's just a shame, that's all.

What you'll find out as you age is that age gaps matter less and less. What matters more and more is how many people of any age do you actually connect with.

I have many young friends, but none of them would pass as your typical garden variety young person obsessed with TikTok nonsense and mainstream music and crapola like that.

Many. I am the alumnus advisor for my fraternity's chapter at the local state university and I have maintained a friendship with many of them after they graduate.

Thre are a few younger people that I have enjoyed interacting. there is somebody recently I have been texting.
