Should I tell my friend that our crush likes me, or leave it alone?

My friend tried to pick him up for the night after meeting him and she has a history of getting interested in every man that I end up liking, as soon as she learns that I'm interested. I get the sense that, since this is the second time I've been in love with someone (a rare experience for me); it's more based on lust, wanting to land a rich guy, an ego boost and wanting to prove that she can outdo me. I dealt with it all by saying to both her and our crush that I'd noticed she was interested and that I'm not going to get possessive or jealous over someone who I'd have to fight for. Then he ended up choosing me after a year of mixed signals.

Now, I wonder, is it wise to tell her that he's decided he wants to date me? Or would she try to sabotage that out of jealousy and ruin my chances?

Well, if you know that she has an unhealthy mindset and she is egoistic so then why continue keeping friendship with her? Why not end it?

Now, I don't know how long you both have been friends and why exactly you are keeping friendship with her despite knowing about her mentality but still I would suggest you not to tolerate "Red Flags" even if it is just friendship.

Tolerating some the negative qualities is okay but RED FLAGS should not be tolerated. Like for eg, a person being egoistic, a person constantly trying to put you down, a person using jealousy as a weapon or a card to achieve their objectives. These are all red flags and nobody should tolerate people who have such qualities.
