Do you have family members who are total killjoys, or are you one?

Are you a kill joy or a receiver of this type... on a regular basis? Explain how ever you feel comfortable. I like to observe human behavior and my own.

I happened to call my older sister a kill joy on my birthday for something.

My siblings are older than me so sometimes we clash over what they think I should be doing. They sometimes don't understand my passions and my direction in life.

I like being spontaneous especially with traveling and experiencing new things.

They don't understand that desire.

Yes I agree the things I like are not apelling to my family. it happens a lot  I usually stay with few friends who are like me , go for alone walks , eat ice cream and pizza which gives me joy.

No, my family is usually pretty fun too even if sometimes we put the fun in dysfunction. 😊 Both my parents have dark, dry humor but especially my dad. Even my "evil middle sister" that I often joke about here isn't really a killjoy. Just growing up she could be pretty gothic and I'm not , so when we get together it's like Rainbow Brite meets Wednesday Adams but we usually have fun with it.

Yes, I do have one of these in my family, too. The likeness to Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh is pretty spot on - always mopey for holidays and other celebrations.

I do my very best to not let it dampen my joy. Sometimes it's harder than other times - I just try and tune it out.

I do, it's my older sister too. She's always complaining about her life, jealous of other people. When she's not complaining she's cursing.

She's never happy and she doesn't like seeing others happy either.
