Do you have friends who are significantly younger than you?

I don't and I've always felt like this is so weird. My good friend who is the same age as me moved away about a year ago so we don't really see each other like we used to. I am practically the oldest person at my job and I hate it, I am even older than our boss. Right now one of our colleagues is the youngest but he is a cool kid even though we're different in some ways but we connect on faith and I feel really comfortable around him. I would be down to hang out with him but I worry it might look weird with him being young like a little brother.

What do you guys think, have you ever had any friends significantly younger or older than you?

It's completely normal to have younger or older friends, I'm 33 and one of my close friends is 65. We just happen to share the same opinion on most things and have similar interests. I feel as though I learn a lot from them just like they've told me they learn a lot from me as well.

I mean I'm friends with all sorts and of all ages. High School kids that don't know me think I'm just a really jacked dude that is their age still. I grew out a beard just to look older.

When I was super young teenager they were all older , it was mainly though sport , now they are all younger as there is no way that I'm suited to people my age unless they think young.

I can't stand old farts in actions and thinking , I'm a youthful thinker , it works.

I do. I'm always the oldest in the group and it's so weird. At my last job, my bosses were a yr or 2 years older and they looked it lol. They always treated me like I was a good 10 15 years younger

If most of your friends are younger than you, it just means you are underdeveloped and immature.

If you most of your friends are much older than you, it means you are an old soul.

the best example of that... the guys I do sports with are usually early 20's as I really won't find people my age who are actively into sports, not in the same numbers anyway

so yeah, I can get along just fine with people who are significantly younger, but that's based on one specific thing... most of my actual close friends are my age or closer to my age

When I was younger I thought it was weird people who were 30 hung out with us and now that I'm 29 I have friends who are 24 which doesn't feel like a big difference. Sometimes younger people wind up in the group but it's not very often and usually a bigger setting or they're related to someone in the group and brought their friends

I have more online friends than real life friends. A lot of my online friends are still quite a bit younger than me probably because personality wise I still act like I’m in my 20’s. I also have a few the same age as me and some even older but most are younger.

Sort of. I play in a rugby team and the age range there is pretty large but I don't hang out with them all that much.

If you're active then I would be friends with you because I'm the same way. I like this kid because he's like the only person on my job who doesn't smoke or vape or use nicotine, he's not messing with drugs or living life staying up late in the night playing video games or doing street stuff. That's so rare to find in younger people these days especially for a guy. The kinds of people I look for, whether for friendship or dating are hard to meet.
