Happy Father’s Day, dads – are your kids doing anything special for you?

My kids’ all called me this morning to wish me a happy Fathers’ Day and told me they will be over this afternoon and for me to get a bonfire lit, which I just did , my guess is we are going to be partying lol , My kids’ are in their 20’s and they like to drink and smoke and listen to music , which I enjoy as well 😊 Did your kids’ plan anything for you? I know Fathers’ Day is considered the least celebrated Day but my kids’ always make it special for me , because my kids’ are awesome and I am blessed to have them , I just wish I had them with another girl 😂😂😂😂

parents are divorced. yesterday i went with my dad and sibling to lunch, didn't want to go with crowds today. that's about it. reading some of what social media posts, i wish we could do something more, as a full family. but at least my dad is still here with me, have to make the best of it.

They said happy fathers day and one said they were thankful for me. That's good enough.

We enjoyed time with them and family, a visitor, and about 15 other visitors.

I got baptised by daughter pmsing and relationship issues this morning. It's fun though, I like that stuff. I enjoy seeing struggles, I just don't enjoy being in it.

Nothing super special as of yet. We went to Mass this morning and had breakfast. Now the kids are just running and screaming around the house. My parents will be over at some point for grilling and watching Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (while the younger kids are napping, that is).

I spent some time with my dad for Father’s Day. It was nice , I think dad’s typically get along with their sons and girls get along with their moms, but my dad only had girls so he really nurtured us the best way he knew how, by teaching us practical life skills, thanks to him minor car issues aren’t a problem for me.

I actually have a very complicated relationship with my father. Even if I really wanted to, the only thing I could thank him for is teaching me how to swim. That's all. He didn't do anything else for me

Sorry to hear that , but I pretty much experienced the same thing with my father as well , My Dad was never really been a part of my life , he taught me some things but that’s about it , i never had a father / son bond with my Dad whatsoever , so I grew up accepting that was just the way it was and realized there was nothing I could do about it , he was just set in his ways and I realized he was a selfish bastard and an abusive alcoholic , my Dad provided and taught my brothers and I the importance of working , but that’s about it. For many of years my Dad has been dead to me and I was dead to him pretty much , so I learned to become independent at a very young age and did what I could to get by , I been a hard worker all my life and just accepted the fact that my Dad didn’t want to be a part of my life , but the only thing I thank him for is teaching me work ethic and that’s about it

I was traveling and visited my kids last week and they took me out to dinner to any restaurant I wanted. It was very nice and we had a great time. When they were younger we did something similar except I would pay the bill. It’s nice not to have to pay the bill now.

I only knew because of the US Open and Wyndham Clark , bcoz in Australia it's not father's day , and I saw nothing of it here ( Thailand ) .

My adult children call me on Aussie father's Day , but all 3 of us are all over the world.

Yes. We are going to his favorite restaurant tonight with my uncle's family (his brother) later for dinner. It is a nice place in one of the coves.

It is a developed area and beautiful to walk around and just be outdoors.

My kids each live far away. I did get a Happy Father's Day text from my daughter.

My wife and I did go out to dinner with her so, his wife and kids. Then we put flowers on my wife's parents' grave.

So, together, we did something special for his dad for lunch and something special for my dad during dinner.

I got my husband a watch he's been wanting. We had my dad over for dinner this evening, his gift got delayed though. We will have my husband's dad over later this week when my brother in law gets back in town to be able to celebrate with us.

If you can take a video of your next bonfire, that would be interesting. I wanna see how big you’re actually talking? To me. A bonfire is really big like a big pile not just like a little campfire.
