i have not been to one in so long i forget what its like to even be at one to be honest. i can recall going to some years ago at college or with people i knew from past jobs but never went to any when in high school in my home town like not one. you think the people i went to high school with would of though it was odd i was never at one and would of invited me at least once but never went to one there.

I used to love house party's. People would be going through the place to see what they could wreck/find i was looking for their mums lipstick lol
why i never tried to have one at my parents house when younger but weird i can't recall ever going to one when i was actually in high school , have no memory of ever being at one so pretty sure that i never went to one ever
i recall going to a high school dance once but it was in gym and kind of lame , also they had this winter formal thing where people dressed up. there was also this small 2 screen movie theatre downtown and it had a cheap night Monday or Tuesday and people from school went to it
when i turned of age 19 you can drink here i recall there was this small bar downtown on the water people i went to high school with went to but i never fit in well and never did well with girls there but never recall going to an actual house party in the town i grew up in ever
my guess is if i had one years ago some local idiots would of just came to break stuff or to steal something for the heck of it , its doubtful it would of evolved into a real party
but weird as i still talked to people in high school and some of them would of been going to the parties for sure , seems so odd i never got invited or found a way into one
I have been going to parties for most of my life.
i've been going to bars and clubs since i was of legal age ( 19 here ) but never went to any house parties when i was in high school growing up in my hometown like not 1 single party ever there, it seems so weird looking back to say that
looking back not entirely sure why either , high school years sort of weird and can't really think of an exact reason why i never attended one , it almost seems cruel now to think my peers who i though were my friends excluded me from something so many young people take for granted and could not really envision not have done at that age
seems so weird as i grew up in a small town 20,000 and felt like i knew a lot of people there. you think there must of been people at my high school who wondered why i was never at one , seems odd no one ever though to invite me.
and being a small town you think the locations of those things is almost public knowledge like how did i never know where they were? often everyone knows where they are , like they go viral on snapchat ( back when i was in high school they used MSN messenger) which was similar i recall having an account and talking to people from school on it, i don't recall ever being invited to a party though and some of the people who added me were mean i recall
but never went to a house party with anyone from that school ever like not 1
Never went to house parties I was a homebody
its weird seems like there is a crowd that goes to one every weekend obsessively and another crowd that has never even been to one , seems when in high school your either party crowd or not and if your in the not your so worthless the party crowd wants nothing to do with you
my parents had some different theroies back then as to why i was treated so badly by my peers it be a while to go through all of them but main ones were
1- didn't play a sport in high school like hockey
2- some people in hometown just assholes
3- being targeted for our political beliefs as we had put a sign on house and campaigned for a losing candidate in a federal election around 2000-04
4- didn't like me cause i didn't do drugs as people at those parties often smoked marijuana or did other drugs like mushrooms , kind of sad to think my peers might of valued marijuana more than my friendship
5- did something to upset one of the social popular girls at my high school , didn't see them at parties but did still see them at school so her group of friends didn't want me around
one idea as i couldn't go to the parties as i didn't know where they were was to go to the amateur sports games in town as we had 2 teams hockey / lacrosse but that also went over badly as the players were dicks and just though i was going to hit on there girlfriends or the other single girls there they wanted for themselves
i though the suggestion it might be about politics far fetched years ago as 25 years ago it was more civil than it is now and honestly seemed hard to believe they'd do that to me just cause they did not like the political party i supported
but considering where politics is now it doesn't seem nearly as far fetched as it did back then and a lot of those high school teachers were political active for the other side so would make sense they did not like me being involved with the other party
but to take it as far as they did seems over the top really and shows seriously bad taste if this is what it was about back then but honestly i don't know really its not like any of these people would talk to me and none have ever offered up an apology
Well when I was high school it was usually the “popular” people that would have parties but it wouldn’t be a big party it would just be their own friend group. I don’t think now people have house parties anymore.
likely that was what went on back then , the in crowd had there parties and excluded people like myself from ever attending them. the in crowd is always big on there parties , seems like there is still parties here now but seem to be mostly younger people not old enough to go to the bars.
but i never even went to like common parties in high school like Halloween or new year , literaly none ever , it makes sense i didn't get an invite to the smaller in crowd gatherings but i never even went to a Halloween party or like anything it was brutal really.
it be interesting to talk to someone i went to school with back then and ask them if they noticed i never went to the parties and ever wondered why? or if they were aware of a reason why i always had been excluded.
the most likely reason is the in crowd did not like me but its not entirely clear why as i recall having classes with some of them and talking to them at that school and never felt like they disliked me when i started school there in grade 9 , it seems like something went a foul later on and not sure what , i recall i had a class in grade 9 with one of the most popular girls she actually sat rate beside me and we got along well so it seems so odd she didn't want me at the parties later on as she knew me and we seemed to have a natural connection from day 1
Sure , still do from time to time.
Not since high school
feel like house parties are more of a high school thing although college can have many too but defintely not as many oppurtunities after
i did not go to a single house party in high school like not 1 , not entirely sure why either , one guy i knew suggested i should just show up univited but i felt that be too awkward and i didn't even know the location of the parties to begin with
My coworkers have them but I don't want to see those people if I don't have to...
Nah the booze would be terrible at those
usually people bring cans of stuff like twisted tea or coolers
As a said terrible, I'd sooner whisky or cognac or red wine if I'm pushed
Yeah
