Hell, yes. She was so bad that when she had a kid with a different guy nearly ten years later, she wanted me out of the house, and spent several years and multiple attempts at finding someplace else to send me, starting with a juvenile facility at age 11, despite my never having been in trouble. She was a woman who had pretty much everything, but was nevertheless miserable for most of her life.

Not even close. My parents worked 2 jobs most days of the week. They were never around to be jealous over anything.
