How many of you guys would say "Good morning beautiful" to a female friend who you ONLY like as a friend?

If you ONLY liked her as a friend & didn't want to ever date or sleep with her? When he's made it clear in the past he didn't want to lead her on, 'cause she has more feelings for him. ? What do you think?

Yeah I've said that...alot..to strangers, friends etc...It is a greeting with an acknowledgement that they are attractive attached...now ...if you are saying that he is acting differently from how he once acted..eh..maybe...I would say that guys usually act on attraction on the front end tho.(:

It sounds like someone might be having second thoughts. I'd recommend that you mention it to him and see where he's at. Who knows if there might be more to it than that. With such little information and without going to him directly, there's no real way of getting to the bottom of this.

I've said that & things similar because I was in a good mood & felt like making someone feel good. Other times I meant it & really thought so. Not always because I had feelings for her. Heck I say that to my mom as well as my girlfriend so it all depends on the cicumstance.

If it was just a one time thing don't look into it so much, it could mean nothing. If he says it on more the one occasion, then possibly he has other motives for saying it.

It's how he started an email to me. I had seen him the night before, hanging out with him & a mutual friend.

Because it makes sense for me to tell a girl that I don't want to lead her on if, say, I'd just like to have a bit of sex with her but nothing romantic. Possibility?

I could see that with some guys, but he's not that type guy. So it really has me wondering...

It's not that, I was just saying he isn't the "type" to want to have a friends with benefits relationship with me. I was just wondering if maybe he's developing feelings or more interest in me & is trying to show it by saying stuff like "Good morning beautiful" to me & things like that.

It don't think it really works that way.

I don't think he would start off viewing you as someone he wouldn't date.

And then you slowly worked your way into acceptable. Not unless you lost a ton of weight recently or something.

More likely, he's subtly attracted to you, and finds himself saying miniscule sweet things to you, but wouldn't necessarily go out of his way to pursue you.

perhaps if the circumstances were right, yes. But not otherwise.

For a lot of guys you are probably right, & you may be right in this case. However, I do know of people developing feelings over time as they get to know someone. Time will tell I suppose. Thanks for giving your opinion on it.
