I met a girl that seems perfect in all ways, how can I forget that she exists?

I met a girl who is the most beautiful woman I've ever met. She has everything going for her and everything I've ever wanted on a girl. I'm almost convinced that she isn't real she's so perfect. The only catch is that she will not have anything to do with me. She's nice to me not a jerk or anything like most girls are. She just doesn't want to have anything to do with me other than to say hi or how's it going. I know that it wouldn't work because a girl like this could have any man she could want. The doctor won't let me drive anymore, my last family member died this year and I've not had a date in 15 years. I'd given up looking for a girl until I met this one. It hurts a lot knowing I'm not good enough to be with her. I have a string of problems that aren't my fault that she her self said drives her away from me.

I just want to get her our of my head and go back to not wanting anyone again. What can I do?

First of all, it would not surprise me if you were not dating 15 years ago as that would make you between 10 and 14 according to the age group you put yourself in. Secondly, and this is going to sound harsh, but you need to stop victimizing yourself. So the doc said you cannot drive (I'm assuming you have seizures), well there are a lot of people like you in that regard and they learn to adjust that. I am sorry about your family deaths, but again you need to be grateful you are alive and celebrate it and stop being the walking dead. Of course this girl is too good for you and my guess is that any girl is too good for you at this point because no one in their right mind would want you, women want a guy who can handle the tough times and work through them with courage and strength as life is nothing but a lot of ups and downs, trials and tribulations along with great moments of joy. Stop allowing all the bad in your life rule you and starting looking at the positives and what is good. Absolutely no one wants to be around doom and gloom. My suggestion to you would be stop looking for anyone right now, you need to work on yourself first so that you can bring the best of who you are to the person who will eventually love you. If you love someone why would you want to bring a bunch of self-pittying crap into their life? Please get counseling so you can learn to love yourself, and then you will find someone. If you continue to sit in your self pity you only get what you deserve. I wish you luck on your endeavor to learn to be the best person you can be and remember, all your problems may not be your fault, but it is your fault if you do nothing to rid yourself of them.

Well, I don't think you really can "go back to not wanting anyone again." If you're lonely, it doesn't just go away.

Try going to support groups for people with issues like yours.

And don't sell yourself short: what makes you think you're not special enough to love? I think you need to get over these issues. Each of us is special and valuable enough to be loved. It's up to her to decide what she wants, not you! Put your best foot forward.

I think you should try to just hang out with her and show her why you're special. Just because you can't drive isn't enough to drive most women away if they otherwise really like you.

This situation makes me so terribly sad.. because I'm in the same position and trying to do the same thing. I know it's awfully hard, but you CANNOT think there's no special person out there for you. Don't give up your dating life because of your past, because then that means you're giving up your future, then what do you have? Nothing. What happened in the past isn't worth something that means the rest of your life. You're more than that. if you ever need someone to talk to, you can talk to me.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Right now you are elevating this girl to a position that is above you. It's nice that you like her, but she is not the end all and be all. There will be other girls so go out and find them. You'll be interested in other women naturally.

Bro, I'm almost 23yrs old and I've had my share of dry spells or hang-ups. I'm telling you all you have to do is get your head in the game and start meeting women, learn that rejection is a part of life that EVERYONE faces. Just get out and casually talk to women because trust me there are more attractive-down to earth women out there than you think, and any female member on this entire website will agree with me. There's more fish in the sea bro, and If they happen to be gorgeous but ugly on the inside, a relationship would never last even if you did get her.

First, stow the talk about "not wanting anyone". You clearly want someone, or you wouldn't be sprung on this girl.

But you have to let her go, and start dating. It's still the only way to meet someone. If you're steady and persistent, you'll find another. But giving up won't get you there, obviously.

I went through, well am going through the same thing I guess. It's actually in the eyes of the beholder. This girl isn't perfect, even if she seems so. Every guy and girl have problems and you're probably blinded by love just like many others become. It's really hard to get over, trust me on that one, but just be civil and treat her like any other friend. You will find someone one day that accepts you for who you are and is just as beautiful on the inside.
