+1 yNot really. I have seen people flirt with my parents though. My dad shuts women down fast. He can be a jerk like that. Once, I saw a woman insinuate that she would go to bed with---right in front of me (that f***ing whore), I was 10, not stupid---he said something to her (I can't remember the exact words and she got embarrassed and never did it again. I told my mom and she just laughed. She can be naive. She was EXTREMELY sheltered.
I have seen people flirt with my mom and half the time it goes right over her head. She is not malicious at all. I couldn't understand that I was a kid and I noticed it and she didn't. When my mom walked away I darted the nastiest look at the guy I think I burned holes in his body because he never did it in front of me again.
My parents are really nice people and get along with practically everyone (I don't know where I got my anti social skills from, not the point though).
I don't know if you want any suggestions, but if you do I have two suggestions
A: You get the guy alone for 30 seconds and dart him a look that he is inferior, and if you do it right he'll back off. Even if it is your mom doing the flirting, he will know to shut her down.
B. You not let it bother you and just try to understand that your parents enjoy the casual flirt too.36 Reply- +1 y

hahaha, ahhhh... that lady was not cool...
but I'm not worried about my mom. it wasn't crazy flirting. just harmless entertainment :p - +1 y
Aww, then nothing to worry about. We just forget sometimes that our parents are people too. Good job on selection for Best Answer; I bet you made his day. ;P
- +1 y
hahaha, I bet I didn't :p
but yea, I usually view my mom as a ruthless dictator of some alien planet... so this was definitely an interesting experience :D - +1 y
lol, people can surprise us I guess...even the ones closest to us. =D

Absolutely not. My parents were so in love with each other, it was lovely. I was extremely blessed. They only had eyes for each other. It was lovely, still brings tears to my eyes.

awww...how sweet... :)
+1 yUnfortunately yes lol. I've seen my mom a couple times and my dad once

hope it wasn't too bad :)
Oh yeah. I have the same reaction when my mother flirts with a guy, and she usually does it to mess with them. She likes to stick to humiliating me in front of women, though.
My father is ridiculous. He gets a lot of attention from women his age and he is very good at flirting with them. He usually only returns flirting, or does it when he knows they won't be bothered, but jeez. My father flirts like they did in the 70s and 80s, when he was dating.
While walking home, I'll joke with him bout how I am in awe at how good he is at flirting. He usually responds iwth something like, "There may be snow on the roof, but there's still faaaaiiiiuhhh in the chimney!" in a thick Alabama accent.48 Reply- +1 y
what?! she likes to humiliate you? :/
...and I can totally hear that alabama accent...lmfao :p - +1 y
LOL. what a lovely way to describe the experience... :p
- +1 y
np! it was well deserved :)
+1 ySeen my mother or father flirt ? nope, seen people flirt with them ? Yeah.
I remember that my mother was recently divorced from my step father and a friend of hers when she was in college was hanging out with her. I was stopping by her house to say hello, but as I walk in, I see the dude trying to cop a feel on my mom and he noticed me then pulled away.
I really don't care what she does I just don't want to see it or know about it...its so awkward...21 Reply- +1 y
ahhh... yea... I can't imagine how awkward that is... :/

No my mom has never really been a big flirt. She was a goody two shoes, and probably a bit of a prude. =P She's very committed to my dad. My Dad is the life of the party and will joke around with just about anyone, so I would not mark any of that up to flirting. He'd do it just as readily with a guy waiter as he would with a hot female waitress. They seem very happy and committed to each other and I have never caught them flirting. =)

prude?! hahaha :p both my parents are pretty sociable, but my mom's more of a social butterfly, gets along better with guys in a way. this is just hilarious. :D
+1 yMy parents divorced when I was in college, and my mother got remarried. When I came home during the summers I stayed with my father and witnessed him flirting on many occasions...usually with women who were much closer to my age. /gag

+1 ysh*t I almost wish they would flirt with other people just to get it over with. seems like they hate each other enough already but just don't wanna go through the divorce process.

Never. my dad was once ordering ice cream from a young hot girl in a mini skirt and she bent over to scoop it out so my dad turned around so he shouldn't see

how very...polite. :)
609 opinions shared on Family & Friends topic. Not really.. my parents are pretty laid back. My dad prefers to avoid social situations if he can and while my mom isn't the same way she isn't one to be flirtatious either.

gotcha. :)
My parents were whores so I saw a lot of strange stuff. I came home from school one day to find my dad in bed with a waitress we all knew that worked at the golf club up the street. It was quite a moment.

I have seen teenage boys check out my 50 year old mom. trust me, that is just as scarring if not worse.
