Got into an argument today about what a "ghost hug" is. I have always heard about it and used it in a way to symbolise a "viritual" hug or a hug from distance, like "I want to hug you but we are in different towns".

But my coworker said ghost hug is when you hug someone but you don't or barely touch each other... like "I don't really want to hug you but I kinda have to"

What does it mean to you?

Is this a glitch?

I don't think it is, I have a friendship that has lasted like 7 years, and during that span, we've gone 3 months without talking to each other one time, and then 3 months another time, without talking to each other. Another person I know, has a lifelong friend, and they live away from each other, but will occasionally text, and can talk like they just saw each other yesterday.

On Reddit, a mother said she told her daughter she was average looking, after some people at school were making fun of her for being "ugly", and she said her daughter went into her room, and closed the door, without saying a word.

So here's the scenario, you have a daughter who is now a teenager. and despite telling her not to get pregnant she unintentionally gets pregnant anyways. what in your opinion is the best course of action in this situation?

If you're one of those persons who don't want kids just imagine you did have a daughter for the sake of this question. what would you do?

And there might be parents here who actually have been in this situation. in that case feel free to share what happened there if you like.

Hey. Honestly.. I'm starting to become less of a fan of this marriage between my mom and stepdad.

Idk…it's starting to seem more fake every day. I'm a fan of authentic relationships that share much of the same values.

These two are completely different people with almost completely different beliefs. One loves minorities, cares about the suffrage of Palestinians, loves Muslims. The other barely tolerates minorities (doesn't really care about them), is a huge Bible thumper, and he allegedly dislikes Muslims.

I think had my mom been with any other person, this would not be a problem. But I'm starting to get more worried. My brother, who is only 12yo, is literally calling other players on Roblox "monkeys", "h*mos", and sometimes even "n–––er" (I've actually heard him say that at least a couple of times). I never would have used such language.

My brother makes a mistake or even asks a random question about food, his dad reacts as if he's made a terrorist threat. But my mom is usually gentle on him, though there are times when she has to go along with his dad.

Edit for more info: I'm 23 going on 24 (also a male), and both parents are around 50.
