Is it weird to you, when friends sometimes go a few months, without talking to each other? Also, do you judge people, based on who they hang with?

I don't think it is, I have a friendship that has lasted like 7 years, and during that span, we've gone 3 months without talking to each other one time, and then 3 months another time, without talking to each other. Another person I know, has a lifelong friend, and they live away from each other, but will occasionally text, and can talk like they just saw each other yesterday.

i have friends who i've known for nearly 10 years, we're not as close now, and i haven't talked to two of them properly for a few months but we're planning to meet in a few weeks lol, and plan to meet at least once or twice a year and it feels pretty much like normal each time
for the 2nd part of the question, 100% you can judge someone for who they're friends with, the people you CHOOSE to have in your life speaks a lot about you as a person although some qualities are just subjectively good or bad

Well accidentally clicked the first option. But no I don’t thinks it weird to go months to years without talking to a friend, even close ones. Sometimes your life takes you in completely different directions. Maybe someone moved away. You know it is a good friendship if you’re able to pick up where you left off regardless of the time in-between when you last spoke.
