I'd rather have 12 kids

I had a really close friend who was like my sister for 5 years. I really trusted and loved her like family. In the past year before our friendship ended, we stopped talking as much. I think we were drifting apart. I tried reaching out to ask how she was and she would reply disinterested and slowly.

I asked her if everything is ok because she felt distant, and she said no it’s fine she’s just busy with life. But she said she was going away with her boyfriend and when she came back we would celebrate our birthdays together. But when she came back, she celebrated her birthday with her other friends, left my texts on unopened and didn’t acknowledge my birthday either. Our birthdays are a month apart and I bought her a present.

I felt she was ghosting me so I sent her a message to basically end our friendship. I said I wish her well and I’ll always care for her etc. she didn’t reply to that.

She is apparently blaming me for the demise of our friendship, saying I overreacted and that even though she knows she did hurt me it didn’t mean I should end our friendship. That I ended it over something stupid.

I reached out again a year later to ask how she is, because I’m not sure if I’m in the wrong or not. But she hasn’t even opened it.

Am I to blame for our friendship ending?

Just in the sense of people taking a liking to you, like to a point where you're well known in your community.

So this question came to my mind while answering @date_a_snob question:

Often some typical personality traits are a contrast to each other, and most of the time they are. In some cases a part of each clashing personality can be combined in one person. I think you can find traces of this in every person but how extreme do you think they clash within you?
It can be more of a thing between different times, different friend groups, or are you just able to adapt to situations.
Examples of this could be a 'girly girl', who also is an outdoorsy person, not shy to work in the garden or even woods. An obviously logical person that for the right topics can get super emotional. A person always tries to be the focal point of a party but when in private acts caring and selfless.
Just random quick examples and under the right circumstances not clashing at all. Depending on the person they can seem completely non fitting. Sometimes you may even realize that yourself.

This whole thing is based on stereotypes. Voting yourself higher is not a negative thing to do, and maybe just be, because you know yourself better than others. It can also be the case, that others have told you without you seeing it in yourself.
This is all feeling based and even if others told you it doesn't mean they are 100% correct.
Keep in mind a person can NOT be 'wrong' because of this!!!
Clashes if handled well can lead to new bridges being built between other groups of people.

Some days, he totally forgets that I am her birth mom, if something happens to her with me, he starts a blame game.
Why is he doing this?

From the moment I met my friends parents (she was adopted), they would argue in front of me. It was like I literally wasn't even there. I was babysitting their biological kids at the time, and the kids would sit silently trying to ignore the shouting and yelling and up and down the stairs they would go yelling after each other. It made me extremely uncomfortable and wonder why they bothered to stay together because even just being there to babysit, if they were coming home, I felt stressed just being in that environment because as a teen I wasn't used to seeing parents argue like that. Mine certainly didn't. From your own experience or just out of curiosity, do you think parents in that situation should stay together and stick it out for the sake of the kids or leave and try to find their own separate happiness while giving the kids a hopefully better home environment free of yelling/fighting.
