Personally I wouldn't pierce my child's ears and would let that be their decision. Me including all my female classmates and relatives, we all had our ears pierced when we were like babies. And I've had classmates, family friends, relatives pierce their baby's ears and a few of my classmates have taken their baby sons to get their ears pierced. But me I wouldn't pierce my baby's ears.

My friend just found out her husband has cheated 3 months with a co-worker. However, it's confirmed they only made-out. It never went further than that. He never went to a hotel. She still feels betrayed.

Since they got romantically involved (non-sexual), he shared private information with her about his marriage and said deeper things too about having feeling for each other, does that count as an affair?

Or it has to be sexual for it to be an affair?

Assume they have no where else to go, and can't afford to pay you any rent during that time.

I've haven't spoken to her since Dec 2021. She's trying to reach me but I'm still too hurt. I consider what she did unexcusable. I'm having a hard time forgiving.

She has always gotten upset for trivial things, blown things out of proportion (ex: if you were to tell her that she dances in a unique way, she starts crying, thinking you hate her and refuses to talk to you) and goes into the ''not talking to you for a week or so'' if someone doesn't apologizes first, even if it wasn't your fault at all. She likely has borderline personality disorder; I don't know.

Flashback to last year:

Well her pride, getting upset with me for something stupid and refusing to talk to me... made her purposely miss my special day. All my family members (my father and everyone else) and friends were there, everyone but her. I needed her to be present on the most important day of my life. By not showing up, it's like she refused me, she rejected me. For me, I felt it a rejection of the highest level ever, as way ''I don't love nor care about you'' at all. I don't even believe in her previous ''I love you'' words anymore. I'm still hurt. Is my anger justified?

Just like the saying ''once a cheater, always a cheater'', does the same applies to bullies? They never sincerely change don't they? I'll tell you a brief real experience.

In both 7th and 8th grade, I used to get obstracized by classmates and picked on for being somewhat overweight, wearing glasses and had facial acne issues. In other words, I was the ugly girl at school. My emotional/verbal bully (lets call him James) made my school years miserable, humiliating in front of the class many times. Every day after school, I felt horrible about myself.

Over the years I've worked on myself and grew out of the ugly duckling stage. Just 3 months ago, I get a Fb message and invitation from none other than James. He started complimenting on my change and how he's sorry for before. I wasn't convinced but wanted to test him if he had really changed. I let him pay all the dates. On the 4th date, something was funny to him. I asked him what it was and he secretly pointed out to an elder woman (she was apparently suffering from obesity issue and spots in her face) that was having a hard time sitting on a bench alone. That's when he told me ''Look at her, she looks like Porky's girlfriend, see those legs and she looks like a melted cheese. LMAO''. He excused that since it's in private and he's only saying it to me, it's no big deal.

I got upset and told him that was he was same superficial jerk from our school years, the same 13-14 year-old bully that all he cares is about appearances and not a person's values, left and blocked him. We're now 24 year-olds already. He hasn't changed. Are bullies generally like that?

Toxic person: someone who creates drama and arguments frequently and for no reason, treats others poorly, uses others for their own gain, is manipulative, is conceited, and justifes their bad behavior whenever confronted. In your opinion, what is the most effective and mature way to deal with such people and their negative impacts on your own life?

If you had a great, loving relationship with you sibling (s), which is more hurtful? Losing the older sibling that you looked up to or losing your baby sibling you cared for/protected?

I have two tragic stories to share:

My friend lost her older brother (10 years her senior) whom was like a father figure and her personal martial arts instructor. Their father left when she was just a 3 month-old baby. He taught her how to cook and several other skills too. When she lost him in an auto accident a couple years ago (the dude was just 34), she felt lost in life. She felt nothing without him. Eventually she worked it out with a therapist.

I was reading a terrible story about a woman's baby sister getting stalked and killed. The girl has barely turned 18 and was the baby sibling in the house. All her siblings felt hopeless and powerless that they couldn't be there to protect her, to save her.
