The new Hollywood up and comer dazzles in a trench coat inspired dress. Pretty refreshing!

Impactful with a Caribbean feel to her style and textured, natural hair!

All black isn't just for funerals - we've all thought so at one point...

The see-through dresses are still going strong...and may not leave us any time soon.

Lily James had one of the most stunning dresses - because of its simplicity and impact with the contrasting choker - it just works... Her makeup and hair are dark, but her dress conveys an angel-esque vibe indeed!

Youthful and fun on the top, plentiful, gentle and flower-esque on the bottom!

Clearly none of you understand fashion or how the Met Gala works. Essentially and originally it was a costume party. It's not the VMAs and it's not the Oscars. It always has a theme and it's always in tribute to someone. This year's theme was Rei Kawakubo and Comme des Garçons (she's the founder of that fashion brand). To go against the theme and frankly dress like you're attending a high school prom is disgraceful and insulting to this fashion legend and icon. The way the Met Gala works is designers buy the tables and invite celebrities or models on the condition that they wear that designers work. The celebs and models do have the say in who's invitation they want to accept though so you can't fault the designers completely. If you don't understand the fashion industry perhaps you shouldn't speak of it all at. You make yourself look silly and it's not cute.

But I didn't know the designers buy the tables - which doesn't really make sense then either - why would they allow for the celebrities to dress however they chose to if they have to stick with the selected theme... Then your blessed designers are whores for hire, it seems... And my MyTake has done nothing wrong... =)

Black is not for funeral purpose only.----Nice statement. And the girl wearing this black dress is bold and beautiful. I love that dress , although showing too much cleavage was not necessary. But the dress is designed to show cleavage. So it's fine..
