My Take On Eyelash Extensions

Eyelash extensions are a hot new trend that seems to be gaining popularity.

The usual price is anywhere between 70 to 150 dollars - depending on the fullness and the effect you want.

You're mostly advised to get them retouched every 2-3 weeks - which can cost from 40 to 50 dollars.

Some say they can last up to 3 months - but those people are few and far between - and they're only those who get those touch ups... So with that being said - DO they actually last 3 months on their own?

Nah...they don't.

- silk pillowcase

- sleeping only on your back - for as much as you can

- not using oily products on them

- trying not to use makeup on them (because of too much contact, touching, rubbing when taking the makeup off, etc...)

I've never tried because it just seems like too much of a hassle and a waste of money. Like if I had nonexistent eyelashes I guess I could consider it, but I already have pretty long lashes so I feel like I don't need them. The only downside to my lashes is that they're pretty light, so if I want them to be seen I have to apply mascara or dye them (at home, wouldn't spend money on getting them tinted either).
It just seems like the cons outweigh the pros. Like they're super delicate, and I've heard that even taking a shower can be a hassle because you're not supposed to get them wet either (and what if it rains?). Plus it seems like once they start falling off, they might take your own natural lashes with them, leaving your eyelids with bald spots or something.
Some of my friends do get eyelash extensions pretty much regularly, and let me tell you, they look so silly for about a week or two once they're close to getting another touch up. They've got eyelashes hanging out, or spots where the eyelashes have clearly fallen out. That droopy eyelash look is pretty trashy, no offense to my friends because I love them, but it's just not cute.
It just seems like even gluing on fake eyelashes just for a day is less expensive and leaves prettier results, although it requires a bit more effort.

Thy fall off when your natural eyelashes do - because they're stuck together with your natural lash - when it falls off, so does the fake one - your natural eyelashes fall out every 1-3 months...
So yeah, I also think it's not worth it... especially since it's so expensive.

That's something I know nothing about so the only thing I can tell you is if you want to wear them go ahead and wear them. But I do want you to show your true face to your future husband so everything won't be so artificial

I love them. It wasn't until I started getting mink lashes applied individually, that I realized what a difference eyelashes make to your eyes and your entire face actually but they really do bring out your beauty more and help with a complete makeup look.

They're much more convenient than adhesive strips too because they last longer if taken care off well and the technician is good (last time I spent $150 on them, they came off in three days and I had to find a new lady when usually the ones I would get before could last me 2 months)

I've had lash extensions for 7 years and love them. When they're done well and tailored to someone's facial features (like brows should) then they're a nice enhancement.

Really though, not a chance will anyone get three months out of a set unless they've used clusters which are too heavy for natural lashes through a lash cycle which leads to damage.
I don't use a silk pillowcase or sleep on my back though 😊 Just brush them in the morning after washing my face

How long do they last for you without touchups?

I go every three weeks, after 4-5 they start to look gappy and cheap. Every sixth infill I go every 2 weeks as that's my lash cycle where many more fall out earlier than usual.
I have silk c & j curls, I found acrylic too heavy for my natural lashes

Too much trouble and too expensive in my opinion. I use hair glue for regular false lashes and I don't have much issues keeping them on for a few days, nor do they make my real ones fall out. and I can reuse them, so it works for me

I've never had them, I watch Dina Tokio and Samantha Maria and they had them (youtube) Dina's look kinda wonky, like she's sleepy but Sam's look very natural and pretty.
I think if you just have a natural set, wow :) So pretty

I've thought of doing this but decided against it. Unless it's for a special occasion. After researching it a little, I feel falsies suit me better than extensions.

i just got my first full natural set of eyelash extensions a couple days ago. I dont need to get mine replaced for another couple months. i love them so much too! costed me $60 but totally worth it
