In an interview at Milan's fashion week, Taylor Swift described her style as feminine, girly, and experimental. She is the type of person who finds something she loves and sticks with what works for her. Her early years on the red carpet were nothing if not predictable; a head full of curls and a dress with plenty of sparkles and her daytime/concert gear was heavily inspired by country western fashion. She's come a long way, but still relies on her style staples to get her through her many appearances. She's developed what some would call a Hipster daytime style, and her night time style has gone a bit edgier, but still very feminine and girly.
If you want the look, be prepared to show some skin. Taylor loves showing off her legs in almost every look, and what long legs she does have standing at 5'10 before the heels. As with any celebrity style or style of another person you want to follow, you don't have to be so literal as to track down the exact designer to get the style. Look to them for inspiration, but find things YOU like to wear that are similar and in your budget. Also don't become hyper focused on a certain style. Keep in mind, Taylor is tall and slim, and not everything she wears will work for you if you have a completely dissimilar body type, and that's okay.
