Taylor Swift's Endless Train of Guys: Girl, Maybe Take a Break

For the record, I'm indifferent when it comes to Taylor Swift. I like some of her music just fine but I don't think she's the second coming of...well, whatever.

However, I'm obviously in the minority as the entire world always seems fascinated with everything this girl does, especially when it comes to her love life. You know what some of the most trending searches are right now on Google in regards to this icon? "Who's Taylor Swift's new boyfriend?", "Who's Taylor Swift Dating 2016?" and "Who's Taylor Swift Dating Right Now." WTF.

I know we're a culture obsessed with celebrities but can anyone remember another celebrity's love life that has received this much scrutiny? I can't think of one. But maybe Taylor is bringing it on herself; maybe if she wasn't dating a new guy every 38 seconds, we wouldn't care as much. It makes one wonder if a lot of this is one giant publicity stunt, though I can't imagine why; she certainly doesn't need additional exposure, right?

But now we have to start questioning if what we hear is real. What's Trending picked up on a supposed Buzzfeed leak regarding Taylor Swift's supposed relationship with Tom Hiddleston. The "Hiddleswift" union might not be real, I guess. Makes you think, "how many of the others were drummed up by paparazzi who are always pissed that Swift tries to avoid them?" It's the job of such piranhas to continue to make these people's lives interesting, and nothing is more interesting than a new boyfriend. I suppose.

I just think it's time for Taylor Swift to maybe take a break. Obviously, most of her relationships with guys have been real (though we don't know the exact details; a few could've been nothing more than very temporary flings), but with more myths and false reports creeping in, I think it might be time to...you know, abstain for a few months. Firstly, she's getting a bit of a reputation and it's one she doesn't want. Secondly, it'll give the people you hate - paparazzi freaks - less ammunition. Jezebel says "Hiddleswift" could be a huge PR scam and that's gotta drive her nuts.

Seriously, just stop for a bit. Give yourself and all the rest of us a break. So we don't get bored with you.

@ObscuredBeyond Well, it does have similarity, as in they're both nu metal and alternative metal. But Linkin Park's way softer, Fear Factory's way more harsh sounding and brutal.

But Corporate Cloning's one of my favorite songs, because it sums up what I think of these pop stars: nothing more than manufactured products for the masses.

The truth is, most pop stars are a mass produced clone force with ill-effected progeny and tasteless iconography, eventually becoming fading idols and fallen icons.

Its like when celebs get pics taken of them in their bikinis or topless on a beach like they had their PR minions tell the paparazzi exactly where they were going to be so the paparazzi could I hire a boat and have their telescopic cameras set up ready to go, then they acted shocked and appalled when its in papers and on the Internet. I think she is a very needy woman, and needs constant attention via these publicity stunts, breakups, boyfriends, all thise so-called charity stuff, helping a fan stuff.

In my opinion, her music is also mediocre. In my opinion she writes different pathetic lyrics (some think empowering I dont know how they get empowered but sure if it is what you like) and the melodies she has are unimaginative same thing, she has an average voice.

That being said, I wonder how she became famous at first. Sure she has some talent to play a guitar and get some melodies, and write a piece of pathetic country song... Bt does she really deserve that much attention? Lets check some other celebrities...

Beyonce is also pop but she has a class and I dont think she is too much out there, she still gets thousands sold.

I dont like Adele that much, but she has a pure voice, and she doesn't use her private life as much, but still gets records to be solved.

Lady Gaga is also selling tons of concert tickets and records and helping a lot of charities without going out and posting everwhere. She is a very creative person in lyrics and fashion aspect.

These are mainstream to compare. There are others who should be famous but not:

Florence: she has intelligent songs musical and lyrics-wise. But she is too indie for people probably because she does not put her life out that much.

Cat Power: deserves more attention than she has with that creativity and talent.

Regina Spektor: why is she just famous for the movie 500 Days of Summer?

Zoey Deschanel: she is not just a very beautiful actress. She has an awesome voice and a band. She has cool songs. Why is she not out there?

So it only comes down to the fact that Taylor is a one giant publicity stunt

I wish you could actually read back and comprehend what you just wrote. You don't personally know Taylor Swift (and neither do I) or I gather any other celebrities personally. You've admitted the media writes rumors and crap which they do to get you to read them. And now, based on that... you are suggesting that a perfect stranger do what you say... so... ahem... you won't get bored. WTF!

We, as in mere mortals out here, really need to get over this idea that we own celebrities. Whether TS is a saintly angel or a raving slut, does not matter at all to me, because in my daily life, I'm not sitting there trying to figure out WWTSD every five seconds. I assure you, just about every celebrity is hounded about their love life, but when George Clooney did the same thing for years, monogamously serial date women, he was the savior of mankind, but let a woman do it, and she is automatically a slut.

Imagine if the tables were turned and people on the internet were writing about you and your love life, which would definitely be filled with a lot of make believe and rumors because it's the internet, how would you feel? How would you feel if someone was talking about you the way you're talking about someone you don't even know. You don't own her life or her.

To me it's not really the amount but it's like one minute she's thinking of getting 'engaged' to Calvin Harris and looking at houses with him and then the next week she dumps him by text when he's in the hospital and gets with Tom Hiddleston and flaunts it infront of everyone. It's immature. And also she built a career on how bad the guys treat her and how she's been dumped but then she literally jumps on a new man every 5 seconds. she was single for like 2 years during the 1989 album release and tour. and then she dated calvin harris for over a year. i mean, don't get me wrong, i think her super quick rebound to tom hiddleston is extremely immature and something she should've outgrown about 5 years ago. but other than that i've never really seen the issue. i knew lots of girls in high school and college who went boyfriend to boyfriend. some young girls just do that. as long as it's eventually outgrown i don't think it's necessarily a terrible thing.

After listening to some of her crazy songs about her dating/love life, she just needs to stay by herself. She keeps doing stupid and getting herself into crazy situations. Like her song "I knew you were trouble". If you knew this, why did you still date him? Your choice, your problem. Drives me crazy when it was played over and over on the radio. It is helping her now so I believe she is definitely fuelling it but 5/10 years from now she will be doing a Jennifer Aniston and saying "Please leave me alone". I think it is a case of adaption, let those that are into it read all about it and the rest of us tune out.
Now the other side of the paparazzi, the Aniston angle is a different debate for another day. As long as there is a market for celebrity media, there will be showmances. What would really astound me would be something like "Taylor Swift falls for her gardener".

I don't think her dating a lot of people should give her a bad rap... how else do you find the one? If who your with isn't the one then move on... she just has a lot of options. And why should someone wait around when they are ready to date again just because other people may find it "fast". Also she may not even be involved with some of them like you said... and even if she is... who cares?

I personally don't keep up on celeb crap... like at all... like didn't know who she was until 2014 when I changed her "love story" up for my sister's wedding but she's young and single... I personally think she should have fun finding the one then start worrying about settling down.

I think when it comes to what I think, we may never know for sure what Taylor's intentions and feelings are. It's whether or not how you interpret it is up to you but in my personal opinion, I think she is a person who is confused and troubled about the things that happen to her throughout her life and needs some guidance. I think she needs to take a break from the spotlight and reevaluate herself and spend time with close family/relatives and friends for a bit. That way, she can keep herself together enough for her to be ready to move forward.
