Hat on the first date, yes or no?

Ok so I have a really casual date witht his girl, she's 22 im 23. We're going to an arcade (dave and busters) and I haven't gotten a haircut and it's sort of a disaster. Now if i wore a baseball hat (fashionably) with nice clothes would that be okay? I've been told im pretty stylish but I dont wanna this girl to maybe think im a "thug" etc. Am I overthinkning this or is a hat okay as long as the rest of me is dressed well?

You are over thinking it. A baseball cap is fine to wear on a date, unless you're going to a wedding.
