Why do girls wear chokers like they are some enslaved animal? Doesn't this demean them?

A choker like that is not at all choking her. It is just a pretty necklace.
The dog collar and emo collars are what you are referring too.
My answer is that they enjoy feeling like an animal while wearing a dog collar. Some women like the feeling of it. While others do it for looks or cause they enjoy how it looks.
It all depends on the girl. My innocent freind wore a choker like that one time and it surprised the heck out of me. When I asked her about it. She just said it was a nice piece of jewelry and she enjoyed how she looked in it.
My other freind who wore dog collars when asked said that she enjoyed the slight choking feeling it gave her.
All women are different and wear different things for different reasons. It is usually very bad to generalize things with a big group of people.
Chokers are the black belt of sucking dick
considering hookers originally wore them, you might be right...
i have a meme for it somewhere
but its almost 3am and i can't be botheres to look.
my meme stash hasn't been transfered yet :( sorry
I'm a sub, proud of it, and very much enjoy being a sub. But while we're on the topic:
Ear Piercing was originally a status symbol. Men with both ears pierced were considered most wealthy.
High heeled shoes were originally worn by men because height was also a status symbol.
Corsetry was practiced by both sexes as a corset forced you to stand straighter, taller, and carry yourself more regally.
Women didn't usually have money of their own, so the men carried the coin purse.
Shoulder pads, now commonly found in women's blouses were also originally a male accouterment, because wide shoulders gave the impression of a broad body, also a sign of power.
I have never heard of such a thing. I sell alternative jewelry including chokers. It's simply a style. Chokers were common amongst women in the Victorian days. Do you think they thought of themselves as animals. I'm very curious what quack job gave you this information? If anything these days a lot of women who are more rebellious, strong, and independent wear chokers. Now if you're specifically talking about sex collars women can wear them in a submissive or dominant sexual situation. And there's nothing wrong with being free with your freaky side.
This is a good one...
My boyfriend being 41 thinks this same thing.
When he sees girls wearing these he thinks they want to get fucked BDSM style and that this is there way of showing men that's what they want from them.
I think that's a stupid way of thinking and shows ne where the mans mind is at...
We as women wear them because they look good and are in style at this point in time thats all.
i wear a choker and i'm not a feminist so i'm not bothered by what it might entail but i'll admit i've always gave my boyfriends blowjobs and i'm not exactly embarassed by the fact that i do... and i never met a man who didn't want them or didn't like them so let's not pretend... although a feminist might be offended by this
So you don't believe you have the right to vote or drive? You can be a feminist and enjoy sex and be submissive or dominant... feminism is both: a woman should be seen as an equal, respectful figure who is open about her sexuality and desires, focus can be more on the first statement than the second, but the point is that it is up to the woman to decide if she wants to be a cougar or a boss or both or whatever else.
You can be a feminism who is a housewife, it is about choice. So feminism would disagree that it is fair for a woman to be forced to marry early and have kids, where her husband forbids her from working and insists she stays at home and cleans, but it would encourage a woman who agreed with her partner to stay at home and look after the house and kids voluntarily, until she feels ready to go back to working, her husband being supportive regardless.
feminist*
@victoriaxoxo isn't feminism about not wearing any miniskirts, make up, dating men and allowing them to pay for dinners... a feminist i gathered wouldn't allow that nor allow a man to hold a door for her... that was my understanding of being a feminist... but if it's not sure i'm for those things you mentioned definitely
No... feminism is about choice. So a feminist would both support a nerdy girl who stays at home, studies and never goes out and the girl who sleeps around and has fun (considering she takes precautions to stay clean etc.), as soon as it is about choice. Feminism is also concerned with male rights, much of the concept is based on the principle that women should have a choice and be independent because we are human and because it isn't fair on males to put so much weight on their shoulders. Therefore if a guy offered to pay for a girl who happens to be a feminist she should decline and offer to split the bill because she can pay for herself so there is no need for him to waste his hard-earned money on her. I think you might be referring to feminazis; women that are convinced that males are biologically wired to oppress females and sexualise and rape us and to fight this regime females ought to scream and assault every male who chivalrously offers to pay for them.
You sir are a pretty twisted individual. It's just a piece of jewelry. I suspect you think bracelets are symbolic of shackles keeping us enslaved as well.
yes i do. a remanent from when girls were simply objects to be owned.

I haven't worn a choker, and I'm not crazy about wearing one, but I think it might just be an accessory, or have similar effects as sexy lingeries to men who do get turned on by them.
The choker itself in my opinion, might not make us slaves, but it's how men treat us during sex.
I don't want a partner who would choke me when we're having sex, if he had not communicated with me about his fetish/fantasy as such, and just choked me all of a sudden. In fact, I might panic and/or get offended, and would slap him if my partner choked me. When I regained my consciousness and could breathe, I would say something like "Don't you ever disrespect me. We're done!" Then put on my clothes and walk away.
Love giving heads, being spanked, and hair slightly pulled, possibly light bondage, but I just can't take being choked, because why would a man wants or likes to compromise his girl's airway and suffocate her?
I wear a chocker bcause I hate feeling free I have feeling that people all over the world are not free so I don't want to act richer or wealthier then they are so to do so I wear a chocker so I'm not free. my boyfriend says that I'm his maid and he controls me but I still love him.
@PromasMorris How do you not feel free by wearing a choker? How does he control you?
@MysteriousDarkness he controls me by I have to do everything he says I'm not incharge and he makes me beg for things. I have no say in anything but I still love him. I mean no matter what he calls me I still love him
@PromasMorris How old is he? Are you saying he controls every aspect if the relationship? When you are around him does he control the who is around, what you do, where you go, when you can do anything and go anywhere, why you do what you do and where you go, how to do things and get places?
@MysteriousDarkness he is 16 and I don't get much time alone but idc as long as I m being held by someone that's really all I care aboit he controls all of me but I love him so that's all that matters
@PromasMorris I am going to say something that you will not like. The relationship is toxic. It is too one way. In the long run it could get worse.
I think you tried to wear one and it cut off circulation to your brain, dear. It's a trendy accessory, not just something to fulfill some fetish. And I dont wear them for men. Quite frankly, I don't give a fuck about a man's opinion unless he's paying for my clothes and accessories👍
Lol. 1st sentence is priceless.
Ha ha! I agree. That was funny. You go girl.
I think chokers make nice accessories, they add a sexy edge to a lot of outfits. But I never wear them because men have it in their heads that it means something sexual, particularly blowjobs. I see a lot of really pretty ones that I'd love to wear but then I stop and remember that everyone will think I'm DTF if I do.
@Brah63926 where in my opinion did I say I had a problem with girls (to include myself) giving BJ's?
@Brah63926 guys give head too, the problem is that guys assume a girl would give them a BJ because she is wearing a necklace...
@victoriaxoxo YAAASSSS. Thank you.
@victoriaxoxo most guys don't and yes it's a good assumption that if a girl is wearing one she's a freak if a girl has tats she's likely a freak as well I'm bed
@Brah63926 Most guys do, don't trust your guy mates when they tell you they don't give head, regardless of the guys name, religion, socioeconomic status, 90% guys that I have met give head, 30-40% lick ass too :). And I don't go for a specific type of guy either, I have experience with a wide mix of guys, eventually they all submit. And I don't know about tattoos because they can often indicate a different lifestyle, but I wouldn't take it this far with chokers, they honestly just frame the girls face. Keep in mind that most girls with chokers would be usually found in bars and clubs, places where girls go to have fun and/or get laid. So your assertion that girls who wear chokers are necessarily more freaky, is the equivalent of me saying that if I move to Sweden and there of the 10 times I get laid, 7 of those guys are blond, it must mean that blondes are freakier than guys of any hair color.
Chokers used to be worn by prostitutes so others knew what they were. Also some women like being submissive and a slave. Most women just find it as a fashion trend
@MysteriousDarkness your not use too what it really is, therefore, you can't accept what it really is.
I wear chokers and choker chains and I like bdsm but have never had sex so I'm not a sex slave. I enjoy being choked because it's a much more natural form of getting high than drugs and I like having someone I trust enough not to kill me when they have their hands or belt or scarf around my neck. I always wore chokers because I like the fashion look and because they make me feel secure but I never thought they hinted towards liking being choked because most girls I know who wear them don't like being choked. Sometimes people choke me when I wear my chokers so I get it
Hi. How is it true that you've never had sex, but have been choked? Do you just get choked by passersby because you're wearing chokers?
@StarsInTheEyes
My parents choked me a lot as a kid and I decided I liked it. I played the choking game with a couple friends I had who also like BDSM and choking. We bonded over it without being sexual. I'm a virgin. One of my friend's sisters likes to choke me because I wear chokers. Guys come up to me in bars and wrap their arms around my neck or ask me if I like being choked but they do that when I'm not wearing chokers too. People tell me I give off a vibe or something
Oh my! Wouldn't that be scary? People just walk up to a girl and choke her when she's not wearing a choker, assuming not giving other signs of liking it otherwise.
@StarsInTheEyes
I suppose it would be for other people but I'm used to it and like choking and pain. They always say something first like about my hair or if I go there a lot or if I want a drink before doing it and they're always gentle because they want to make sure I'm comfortable with it cause they don't want me screaming or calling the cops. People tell me I have a BDSM or choking or vampire or otherwise kinky vibe. Lesbians like me too even though I'm not gay and both guys and girls have bitten me and choked me. People like to pick me up and restrain me and choked me. It's fun but I let them know I don't look for hookups
I don't try to give off signs that I'm into that but people assume it anyway, choker or no choker. Like I said I just like them for the fashion
I wear chokers because I like them I certainly don't find it demeaning in any way
@Smarter We should work together to make women brand themselves with penises, by telling them it looks hot and makes them look more classy. XD
@Smarter Tattoos of them, on their foreheads. XD
Dave Chappelle had a skit about this:
https://youtu.be/fL-1kHxsavI
Your looking into it way too much and i bet you just made this question to get off to answers. They wear it because they want to and it's in fashion nowdays
Like good slaves. I'm not saying having women as sexual slaves is a bad thing.
Hey, if they want to act like it, I'll let them.
After all, it seems to be doing good things for those Saudis.
They are popping out a lot of pretty girls because of their oppressive treatment of women.
Are you mentally challenged? it doesn't have anything to do with slavery or being submissive. It's just fashion.
They used to be worn by prostitutes apparently, so that people would know what they were.
Then girls that were them, started wearing them because they wanted male attention.
It's for fashion.
If you think that wearing a piece of jewelry is enough to make you look like an enslaved animal, what can I say... Something must be wrong with your perception. As for me, I dislike chokers passionately, however other people like them. It's not up to me to dictate them what to wear.
There are many reasons why we do it, I personally wear chokers and collars for cosplay and role-play purposes. Many men fetishize being dominate over women, that's how it got started. It's basically a sexual fetish.
I like them... but not the stupid 12 year old novelty kind. freaking do it right. leather strap... metal ring... I do enjoy being a sub and I'm a freak, but I wear them because I like them. I like being different. except now that its trendy, everyone is
Yes. I like women admitting that they are my slaves through fashion statements as well... glorious... empowering...
Chokers have been around for 1,000's of years. They were worn to protect or used as a symbol of power. It does not demean women in any way shape or form.
I personally think its just a fashion trend that will eventually die out. Also i actually really like it. It's just a neclace and i dont really see what the problem with it is. Goes with a lot of outfits 👍
No. Choakers are about as closely related to what you think of as socks are to shoes. They go on the same body part, they might look.. vaguely the same.. but they are completely different.
Besides even if they were wearing straight up dog/cat collars does not mean they want to be treated as animals. This whole "I look like this so treat me accordingly" was bullshit when people said women asked to be raped by how they dressed and its bullshit now.
Because sometimes they are an enslaved animal. It's just a fashion statement. The statement is usually something along the lines of "Come fuck me, I do it like an animal and it takes less effort than average to get in my pants". That's been my experience anyway. Hell as far as fashion statements to me it's more demeaning that some black guy wears his pants half down his ass with the pant legs getting tripped over. Whoever's idea that originally was is a moron.
I fucking love chokers, I see one and sexual ideas flourish through my mind. Maybe women do like to be treated like animalistic slaves (and maybe I like treating them like one) and they won't admit it obviously but why does it matter. Takes a real man to treat a woman like that in bed and equally outside.
Not like slaves, but if you plank in bed we might complain. The choker is just something that frames one's face, that is all.
@victoriaxoxo It's just my interpretation, I doubt there is a specific answer since it is a fashionable piece of item. All I know is if I see a woman with a choker compared to one without, I will see her as a much more appealing meal.
I think a choker looks sexy. And many women chose what to wear based on how it makes them feel. If it makes them feel sexy and attractive, good for them and their choice.
If you think it's because women think they are sub human, there's something psychologically wrong with you. Like, we're going to see your neighbors talking about you on the news some day, that kind of wrong.
This answer rocks!
I gave you a thumbs down, solely because you are a woman.
@UnknownReflection haha thanks! 😉
@asker meh, I've been called worse 🤗😉
I am a man who wears chokers. Not the kinds you are thinking of but more like these:
www.rivithead.com/.../...leather-choker-14cls.html
www.rivithead.com/.../2-row-pyramid-choker.html
What does it say about me?
Well, i don't like them, but it is used as an acc. To make clothes or whatever that girl wearing so much better. And they don't have any hidden meanings, just an ordinary accessory.
Except in the mind of men. It has plenty of meaning there.
Yes it is. And it's also sexy to us men. Girls will do anything to be sexy these days, probably just a generational fad, but a great time to be a guy 😜
No, girls and guys both do quite a bit to get laid nowadays, but wearing a choker isn't one of them...
Lmfao #anonlogic
It's a fashion trend dude, relax.
I think they're really hot, myself. It might have something to do with some subtle suggestion that a girl who wears one is 'punishable' or something, but mostly, I think it accentuates a girl's neck. And necks are sexy.
It's called a necklace that's tight. That's it. Thats like saying wearing bracelets are demeaning cause they are like handcuffs or wearing a jacket is like a straight jacket
Women like to be enslaved. Women natural tendency is to be subservant to a strong man.
that is funny!
why the fuck was this posted in sexual behavior?
Isn't it sexual behaviour?
Why else would woman wear it?
Stop pretending to be a fucktard. It's just a recycled fashion trend that's like every other women's fashion trend... skinny jeans to bell bottoms and back. Nothing to do with sexual behavior and you already knew that.
hmmm... you wear chokers huh?
defend your history of women slaves and sexual exploitation!
DO IT! DO IT HARD! WE LOVE IT!
IT'S.
JUST.
FASHION.
Jewelry and tattoos date back thousands of years with various historical implications as well. Times change. Society morphs. Language evolves.
So, just realize that it is 2017 and you'll be OK bro. Now, stop trolling like a Blue Anon.
Dave Chapelle, had a skit about this:
https://youtu.be/fL-1kHxsavI
This means that anyone that gets a tattoo is Russian mafia. Or a Japanese Samurai.
https://youtu.be/hSCrL2Kl5oM
or that you are 8,000 years old.
https://youtu.be/MYn15yDBvxM
It goes back further than that. Cave men used to have tattoos. Look up Otzi the caveman.
It was a sign of dominance, accomplishments, and bravery.
had you watched the first video (which you clearly did not) Otzi is mentioned in it.
His body was preserved in ice for 5k years.
Nice try tho... you're sticking your foot farther in your mouth with every post.
That is actually interesting.
It had conflicting purposes in different countries.
But, what does a neck choker really look like?
A dog collar right?
Really, what other purpose does it serve?
what purpose do ear rings serve? Or a simple costume jewelry necklace?
Do women's bracelets reflect their desire to wear handcuffs?
Or could it be that they are simple fashion accessories?
worldofdtcmarketing.com/.../...52_einstein-duh.jpg
I know you're not as obtuse as your pretend to be. You're just trolling like a blue anon does.
Oddly, I've been suspecting many things about the origin of jewelry and bracelets and leg bracelets. I think it stems from women being slaves / possessions for a good deal of history. earrings, may have come later though. but bracelets and necklaces were probably originally due to girls being tied up when they were slaves to prevent them from escaping.
and Im sure that's why women in the 21st century wear them now.
media.giphy.com/media/jFJW3hOGQgTUk/giphy.gif
instead of posting questions in sexual behavior about women doing what they do now, maybe you should try posting a question... or better yet... write a MyTake on the history and evolution of women's fashion.
We all do and wear things today that meant something completely different hundreds or thousands of years ago.
Good Luck!
media.giphy.com/media/1iTX9tGRTTTVZb7q/giphy.gif
Even I wore the choker whenever I want to feel sexy (underneath my hijab, at home, during my dancing workout), nothing to feel like a slave or what, it's just a fashion/trend
a choker is just a tight necklace tbh thats why they sell it with all the jewlery and not with lingerie its just an accessory
it was so in in 2014... died.. then cam back 2016. and it just looks nice.
The fact that it is called a "choker" doesn't mean it is demeaning. It is just a neckless which is tight to the throat, nothing more.
exactly! Where are guys like you in real life?
The Netherlands apparently?
@victoriaxoxo Oh I just saw your comment! I am indeed from the Netherlands :)
I am not even sure why anyone would think a choker is a negative symbol or something like that.
That update the question asker added 2 days ago... holy shit. Some men are really delusional it seems.
Not all women think the same so you can't talk about "Don't you want" when we all don't want the same things let alone it's cloth or w. e the fuck it is doesn't say nothing about their personalities
I dont think women wear it for that reason. But some bdsm collars for public wear do look a lot like chokers. Its mainly not to arouse suspicion.
Let's skip the fluff, go ahead and put the Dave Chapelle video in the comments.
I am waiting for the same haha
quitte frankly it's odd that's what you think of when you see a girl in a choker
I am admiring why do girls leashing themeslves like animals !!
One time a stupid gir sent back PM asking me a about her leashing Chocker
And it turned out that she is truly animal
Like what everyone here said LOL
I think you're just reading into it too much. It's just a necklace
What kind of stupid make a big deal about a piece of jewelry?
And you are also too old yo be so childish and immature.
*to..
Um, because it's a fashion trend and they are cute? Not demeaning at all
I don't... mainly because I don't like it hugging my neck. it feels uncomfortable
I think they're just fashion. I used to wear them when I was 10 or so and with no idea about the submissive business.
I never thought they looked slutty or degrading, I just thought they were the type of thing 13 year old emo's wear.
It just draws attention to their sexy, feminine necks that's all.
Exactly, it sorta frames my neck and face, no need to think into it.
Not bad for troll bait. You're missing something, though... maybe a few buzz words like 'LGBT', 'heteronormative' and 'patriarchy', just to name a few. Use these tools wisely for maximum kek.
For Kekistan!
chokers are very sexy... just like earrings or perfume.. lets not get carried away here ! lol
How can an object demean someone? You get to define what you wear.
We want them because we like how they look... Has nothing to do with what you're talking about.
I like how you look too... MWAHAhaahAHHAhaHAHAaa!
Pervy eye power!!
Its just a piece of jewelry mate... You watch too much bdsm...
Chokers are just a type of jewelry that has been in and out of fashion for centuries. Everyone from queens to prostitutes have worn them.
Don't judge a book by it's cover.
https://i.imgur.com/OH6rN7v.gif
Lol, all of chicks are over you cause of this shit, for sure its sexy AF but there was no reason to add it on ''Sexual Behaviour'' in the beginning lmao.
What... i wear them only for fashion and because it looks cute. If people think me as a submissive or whatsover i dont really care. Like, judge me all you want. Good bye lol.
lol, I have seen that last night. smh, they are saying choke me. They like objectification.
No, they just frame one's face...
@victoriaxoxo the sun is out no, it is a star. the moon is out no that is a light. Right and the clothes you wear and the car you drive and the house you live in does not mean anything, According to you, it is just a frame of a one's face.
chokers are hot!! seriously, nothing hotter on a woman than a collar.
Is this a troll question?
Whatever women say about this topic makes no sense. Chokers are obviously making them look like a slave, an animal
I'm assuming you are being sarcastic.
Dude, wow!! How old are you again LOL?
It's just fashion. It's all good!
Not this bitch. Too much boss going on here.. Might put a leash And chain on him though 💋
it was very few slaves in ancient Rome that had neck chains or even chains at all
Newsflash:
Women do the exact opposite of what they want
Chokers are pretty, there is no deep meaning for most of the girls.
