Do beard make a guy look younger or older? WHY?

My opinion:
I think it's depending on the guy, his age and how the beard and hair is styled. Guys in their teenage and 20s looks older and more mature with one which I guess is a positive thing when they're dating girls/women. But when they're between 40 - 60+ it's depending from guy to guy on both his beard and hairstyle plus his face. Beard can slim down a face, hide your double chin and wrinkles making you appear younger. But it can also make a person look older and especially if he has soft youthful facial features. It's because beard is a feature men gets when they're grown up.

This picture shows how facial hair affects your appearance. In my opinion this guy looks younger with a full beard than clean shaven and with a mustache.

Someone in his early 20s can look older when they have a beard. Many boys of this age with baby faces keep some facial hair to look more mature. But once men reach old age, at start they can tweezers out a few grey hair but once it grows a lot they just shave it off to gethe rid of all facial hair including the grey hair to look younger.

Some older men with trendy beard style might look a bit younger.

i like stubble. not interested in beards. gives off old man vibes, like santa claus. and i don't know what you're hiding under all that hair. maybe a giant zit? i like to see a guy's jawline and face structure. a beard hides half his face and i find is quite unattractive. that is, of course, my personal view. you can agree or disagree.

i think it's just that men without beards look like they haven't reached puberty yet (obviously they look a lot older but u know) and that when men have beards it shows that they're grown up. I don't know i think it's unconscious and biological.

Not really. Beard growth is completed by the age of 21 in males. After 21, men do not grow any more hairs in their faces.
