I'm a guy currently in college and ever since I stopped having to change for gym in high school (after freshmen year) I have been wearing white briefs again. I find them comfortable and like the retro boyish look of them, and I don't really see the appeal of boxers or the much lived boxer briefs. However I feel like it's something I have to keep secret from my roommate or others because I'm convinced they'll think I'm like a little kid or something. Also I'm concerned about if I ever hook up with a girl if my briefs will turn them off or they'll just laugh at me. So what do you think of guys who wear tighty whities? Are they lame? Nerdy? Cute in a dorky way? No opinion?

You are overthinking this one a bit. Most gals don't worry about it one way or the other. In fact, the data show that they care more - way more - about your outerwear than your underwear.
(They did a study where they asked women to look at photos in guys wearing everything from tuxedos to their underwear to being in the nude. They then asked the gals to rate the guys on who was sexiest. Overwhelmingly, the guys in a tux or a suit or even jeans and a t-shirt beat the guys - even the same guys - in their underwear or in the nude.)
For what it is worth, my girlfriend loves traditional tighty-whities best, with colored briefs and bikini briefs also high on the list. She is okay with traditional boxer shorts and she cordially loathes boxerbriefs. She calls them the man's equivalent of a "long legged panty-girdle." She even likes to see a guy in a thong more than in a pair of boxerbriefs.
So there you go. One woman's opinion. Some colored briefs would make a fair compromise. However, overall, you can probably save the cash.
I wear briefs, but not like those. Check out some more modern briefs- tighty whiteys aren't really tailored for a man's genitals, but modern briefs are. If you live near a Target store they sell a brand called "Evolve" that are a pretty good briefs for the price, with some variation in color and pattern options.
I can't stand them, they look childish and turn me off. If was with a guy and he took his pants off and those were underneath I'd probably laugh even if I was trying not to.
That's very prejudiced. Briefs are so refined to their basic function it doesn't make sense to cast the vicissitudes of fashion onto their general appeal. They're timeless because they cannot be improved.
I think they're uncomfortable and my dick is always slipping out the side which I don't like. I only wear them if I have to wear dress whites cause you get in trouble if you wear different color underwear.
I love the support. Nice that you can get a pack of like 8-9 for 20 bucks. Pretty sure the stigma of TWs are over. Most people in my life never say anything about them. Plus it it’s what’s comfortable for you. You are the one wearing them all day. No one will ever see them anyway unless you change at the gym or S/O.
@Xander_24 I used to get wedgies and pansted by this popular girl, she always did it in the most public place she could especially when other girls wear around just to humiliate me.
they are definitely very nerdy if you wear them over the age of like 12 hahah. but they're cute and i like them, even find them hot! also i still wear nerdy little girl undies so who i am to judge lol
