Why do girls lie about not liking muscles?

Take this guy (Connor Murphy) for example:

Most girls on this site would say he is too muscular and gross. But in real life when he shows his body to girls they all gush and are really amazed by his physique. So girls, why do you lie about not liking muscular guys? What's the point?

So, what I've heard from one of my friends who used to body build, is that he really honestly never got approached by girls. Like, ever. And he's kinda shy so if he approached them they often didn't really respond. But trust me, he had the perfect muscular build.
Eventually he started asking girls why, and they said a few things: They were intimidated by him, they thought they probably weren't pretty enough for him, they thought that maybe he might be violent if he has a lot of muscle, they thought maybe he might be shallow or mean or douchey.

My buddy is none of those things, he just gets really into his hobbys is all. But sterotypes hurt everyone i guess

I'm a terrible judge of men's beauty, but he had no obvious flaws. Clear skin, symmetric face, nothing wrong with him.

I don't refute your point, I just made an assumption. The situation you described is pretty common in muscular guys with ugly faces (gymcels). But a tall guy with an above average face and muscular body will get lots of attention from girls. A tall muscular guy with a handsome face will get TONS of attention from girls.

feeling a bit insecure? lol. plenty of guys worship female super models because of their bodies too, but irl they date normal looking girls. nothing to worry about

Personally, I am not fond of such a muscular body.
He looks good though, but too robust/sturdy/solid.
He did a great work though.
