What are your opinions on tongue piercings on a girl?

I'm 19. I represent myself well and I'm a clean person, I also like piercings and tattoos. I have my tongue pierced, but haven't really started dating with it. So what do you guys think about tongue piercings, especially on a woman? I know they can be viewed as "trashy". But I got it because I enjoy it.

I think they are a cliche. Girls here all got them with the idea that they'd magically be good in bed, a lot of men had the same wrong idea. With all of the ones that break teeth and get swallowed every year, they seem like an unwise decision. To each their own though. If you're happy, then that's what matters.

I had mine for 12 years before I took mine out. I took it out while pregnant with my first child. Then repeirced it on my own after my 3rd child. I took it out again I just feel to old for it now.

OK you asked: I don't like any piercings, but I think the tongue is about the worst place (at least of those you can see with clothes on). I can't understand why anyone would get one there -- besides that guys like the "feeling". So when (a lot of) people see someone with one, they think they're sluts. There've been times when I've been talking to a girl and she seems really nice, but then I see that she has one in her tongue and I think "Ugh!" That doesn't mean I stop being friendly with her but I think differently about her than I did at first.

For me they put me right off. It looks grim & makes the person less appealing to me, but if we're just friends then I'm not too fussed. If anything you hardly notice it's there, but I really can't stand them otherwise.

I'm not into Swiss cheese... so those holes... but honestly it's up to the person who's wearing the piercings actually amd basically... if anyone can't like any feature in the other's liking then time to hit the road I guess... someone not liking you because of your piercings will do a lot more damage when big questions of the day arise in the relation... as there might be tons of things to the other person to not like about.

I think most guys will see the tongue ring as a bonus when it comes to oral sex. Unless a guy has a thing for woman with piercings and doesn't like them I wouldn't worry. I would view it as a bonus for sex but wouldn't judge a girl for having one.

I got mine pierced 20 years ago before it was "in". One major drawback is that it ruins your teeth. It does not matter how safe you think you are it will ruin them.
