Weave is not European or Asian hair. When was the last time someone said “let me get that European bundle weave”. No hair is classified by the texture ( and no one texture belongs to one group [except kinky coily hair]). And it is for protection because the braids underneath help our hair grow and keep in place, and the weave helps because us black women love to switch it up, and do colors. You can’t keep doing that to your real hair... because it will damage... hence why we call it protective style

Literally everything you said was incorrect. Straight hair is European & Asian hair whether you say it out loud or not. Hair is classified by texture. Black women use the A-C scale the most and they're the only reason anyone knows about it. Braids don't need to be "kept in place" because it's already tied together.

That’s a lie there are black people in Ethiopia born with straight hair, aboriginal Australians ( black Australians born with straight hair) even some other African people who I went to school with had naturally straight hair without perm

That's cause weave is mostly sold by in "Asian" stores.. You don't hardly see any "Black" stores sellin weaves.. They'll most likely sell natural hair products, or stuff for long braids.. So, it's from years of cultural assimilation.. But protective styles are also just styles that are in braids too..
