Trending & News I never heard of that before. And I cannot imagine a woman being attracted to a man because he ate broccoli. However, it is healthy, and if you're entire diet is healthy, you can be more healthy and therefore more attractive.
Yeah totally.
Next time you see a girl you like just whip out a whole broccoli and start munching.
As soon as she bares witness to your true alpha form she won't be able to resist. And she will be yours.
Not eating it makes them fools. Broccoli is fucking delicious.
Hell yeah it Is
@SuperTroll oh my God, I fucking love asparagus.
@Reach500 Ever try broccoli with cheese? I tried this when I went to US and it sounded strange to me at first, but I thought it was amazing. I think I liked it even more than macaroni and cheese. :-D
>> [...] oh my God, I fucking love asparagus.
Same. I want to eat it every day but it is so expensive in Japan. :-(
@SuperTroll I don't understand why anyone would disrespect broccoli like that.
Maybe a bit evil. :-D Most Japanese I tell about this think the idea is very strange since it's favored here from a culinary style to present the vegetable on its own mostly without overpowering it with something else, and also cook it in a way that is still a bit crunchy and not so soft (I find Americans tend to favor more mushy texture).
@SuperTroll to be fair a lot of American vegetables are really shitty too. It's like we try to cover up the flavor with weird shit instead of actually highlighting the flavors.
I came to grow a fondness of it a bit, like green beans that taste almost entirely like chicken broth, broccoli overpowered with cheddar cheese, creamed corn, creamed spinach. I like it. :-D I tend to try to make that style for Japanese friends.
@SuperTroll sounds like you discovered why so many Americans are so fat. Smother everything in cheese and it's bound to happen.
I_smell_Ducky I totally agree
I definitely think staying lean is quite a challenge in the US. :-D The biggest difference I've noticed though is infrastructure. In the US almost every adult owns a car, and it's usually required to get by in many places. In Japan, not so many people own cars and it's usually considered a luxury since public transportation like trains connect everything.
That affects the infrastructure of cities in ways where, even in the most rural areas of Japan, there's usually a grocery store within convenient walking distance, and without going across any major highways or anything to this effect. As a result most Japanese buy fresh groceries on a daily basis with very small refrigerator and just purchase what they're going to eat on a given day without stockpiling food.
Whereas in the US, I see people often only go to huge grocery within driving distance maybe once or twice a week, and favoring lots of frozen and processed foods in the process while having massive refrigerators. I feel like that makes the biggest difference of all in nutrition, since Japanese still favor their share of junk food, including Western type like McDonalds.
I also see the cars sometimes used in the most lazy way, like I saw people using their car to drive to mailbox within walking distance, then drive back and park their car, just to avoid walking like 100m.
@SuperTroll you're not wrong. We've made a society that benefits the gluttonous and lazy. The only advantages is that if you actually take the time and put in the work it's not that hard to walk over the masses on your way to the top.
Infrastructure changes might help a bit there, although maybe tricky and would take lots of time. In the US I tend to notice the residential areas where people live are much more separated and further apart from commercial areas (like where grocery stores are available). That seems to play to the idea of everyone having automobiles. In Japan the commercial and residential areas are often mixed together -- in my case I have 5 different grocery stores within 5 minute walk or so maximum, and 2 without crossing any roads.
@SuperTroll you also have to keep in mind that's not everywhere in the US. Small towns tend to be a little better. My HS graduating class was like 50 people. My home town doesn't have a single stop light or MacDonald's.
Sounds very nice. :-) I think very dense urban areas tend to be better that way as well, like offering more practical options for people to easily get their fresh groceries daily. It seems to be those types of suburban areas where it seems kind of difficult to eat very fresh every day.
@SuperTroll it's not easy to get really fresh stuff where I live now. Tomatoes especially, the ones at the supermarket are so bland. I'd grow my own but I'm in an apartment with any space.

It will take more than eating broccoli for women to find men good looking...
It makes you fart a lot. Is that attractive to women?
Actually yes lol
Then I guess eating broccoli makes men more attractive to women.
