Petite refers to height not size. Girls who are shorter than the average height of women in the country are called petite. Like in US, the average height for women is 5'4" so any woman who is shorter than this is considered petite.

Following what I said in the first line, a petite woman can be overweight or can have big hips or big boobs. All these constitute size not height. Asian women as you said are shorter by genes. Rarely do you see taller Asian women but they are there of course. They are skinny because of their diet and lifestyle. Them being petite has little to do with how skinng they are. Hope it explains all your doubts.

As long as your under 5'4, and under 130 depending on your expected BMI. Everyone is different. But they often go by normal weight.

Petite is someone short (enough) and with a graceful, slim body that has no over-inflated... attachments.

There are different sizes in petite as well such as PXL, PM, PS, which respectively mean petite extra large, petite medium, and petite small.
Petite generally means height. If you are short and have big hips, you would probably be PM.

My friends always told me I would be considered petite because I'm 4'11 and look like a teenager ( I don't believe it ) but everything on me is too big: butt, thighs, breasts, and I have a fat stomach which is hard to tell unless I'm naked lol.
But everthing is supposed to small on a girl to be considered petite plus being short. That's what I always believed.

The term is rather subjective.
In general, it usually refers to females who are small-sized. Then again, small-sized is a relative term as well.
It really depends. For me, I would not use petite to describe a lady who is short but is overweight or obese.
