Girls, is there a difference between a lady being skinny or having a small frame?

Of course, there's a difference, but sometimes it's confused to be the same. They /can/ be similar, but they are not the same.

Skinny means really thin. Period. No matter the height and frame.

Small framed can mean three different things (1) that she is petite, and (2) that she is small-boned (as opposed to medium-boned or big-boned) (3) that she is thin when compared to someone fatter to lessen the blow on the bigger girl by referring to it as "frame" rather than as "fat."

Let's go into more detail here:
(1) petite is usually on the short side, which is delicate compared to most other sizes of height. This is so even if they were not skinny, thin, or average-weight for their height. Short is almost automatically petite.
(2) someone can be tall and small-boned, giving them a delicate appearance.

Of course, someone can be small framed /and/ thin. Hip measurements and shoulder width aren't necessarily an indicator at all. Narrow hips just means narrow hips. It can coincide with also having a small frame, adding to the "smallness." Body /shape/ has nothing to do with frame, unless you're using the word "frame" to ape officially describe the shape (e. g., this picture frame is heart shaped, or she has an hourglass frame, and he has a V-framed torso, masculine frame, etc.) But we rarely do that.

But let's give you an example:
I am a woman considered short in north America and Europe, being just under 5'3". I am also thin, but curvy since my hips and breasts are large enough to give me an hourglass shape with my narrow Waist. I also happen to be small framed! When people talk to me or describe me, The word "delicate" shows up frequently.

Catwalk Models on the other hand are very skinny, but have larger frames than me, yet smaller frames than normal-weight women who are their height. But given their thinness, they will be compared as thinner, narrower frames on most occasions (and most of them are not smallboned).. but regarding height, they will be regarded sometimes as larger but rarely are they described as "big" in any way because they are so shockingly skinny for their height that people are too distracted to call them large frames, even though practically, they are because they are super tall.

That is certainly a lot to take in. Now I just need to wrap my head around it. :)

If you're not attracted to women under 5'4, then it is definitely tall women that you find most attractive. That would be your major preference.
Problem solved.

And if that's the case, then perhaps the smaller framed (read, smallboned) tall women are your minor preference within your major preference of tall women.

However:
If you do find short women attractive as well, then it's more likely that you really like the delicate aspect of smallboned women, no matter their height.

The easiest way is eyebAlling, first impression. Most women have proportionate bodies, but they come in different shapes and *proportions*

There's no perfect standard, but there is an ideal standard of health and beauty for both men and women. I suggest you search for the healthy standard rather than beauty standard (even though hey overlap) to avoid objectifying either gender. The only thing important is to know what shape appeals to you, personally. You seem like you're trying to understand yourself preference but I'm not sure because this se second question seemed odd. I'm wondering why you care lol :)

There's no cookie cutter, universal standard of body shape and proportions. If something is disproportionate, it's noticeable usually on first glance, some of them hardly even noticeable at all (check out Kate Uptons small hand). Most of the time not important.
